I realize that my post on the Idea Lab forum was in the wrong forum. I will continue it here with any that want to discuss this issue. Spit, the CEO of Salmissra, Was rebutting my statement that the ability to declare war on any corporation was basically a legal exploit that pirates will continue to take advantage of. As it is now a corps can recruit ringers into there corps when they are planning to declare war on a less experienced corps. In His rebuttal he said "My corporation has no need to take onboard other players to assist in a war. We have had 3 new recruits in the last month, our posts in recruit channel will show what type of players we are seeking (miners as well as fighters". Following is a list of ringers that joined his corp in the last two weeks in order to join in on the******of our corporation. Insight Joined Salmissra on 12-18-04 Played since 3-17-04 Kelshac Joined Salmissra on 12-16-04 Played since 1-11-03 Costis Joined Salmissra on 12-12-04 Played since 6-14-04 Elanor Scurvate Joined Sal. on 12-15-04 Played since 4-21-04 Dark Eagle Joined Salmissra on 12-15-04 Played since 12-18-03 Zamthor Joined Salmissra on 12-17-04 Played since 6-23-04
These are only the ones I documented. I see this as a way for mercs to jump from corps to corps. Small corporatoins will soon be a thing of the past. Im sure Spit has some explaination for this oversight he made. I feel this is an exploit. I do not beleive the developers of this game meant for the game to become a haven for pirates with no place for the non pvp player. Why have security and cops in any regions when they can be circumvented so easily?

An exploit?

ohhhh yeah. That's right. They are using the 'join a corp' exploit. I heard of that one, pretty leet stuff imo.

1.) Its not an exploit ffs. At least learn what the word means before using it.
2.) Eve's been around for what, 2 years now, and theres lots of small corps still around.
3.) Security and "cops" in certain regions are to prevent random people from attacking you. Once war has been declared those people are no longer "random".
As has been said many times before, Eve is a PvP game. The mechanics are in place to explicitly allow it and even encourage it. Either stand up and fight back, or run and hide, or leave your corp. There are options.
Stop trying to pretend this is Sims In Space

It is astoundingly easy to avoid war. Just all quit your corp, and create a private channel. Woot, you can't be wardeced! Now the wardecing corp leaves your old corp alone, and then you rejoin. Its that hard -- The best description of alliances, ever:
