Ok, so, yes, I have a tamagotchie, err, I mean, POS to feed. So, here I am, sitting in the ice belt, getting hypnotized/brain damaged by the drone of the ice mining lasers ( wait, EvE has sound???! ) while reflecting on some of the forum gems I've read over the years, and suddenly it hits me.
The Iceteroid is spinning.
It is always spinning.
Always.
It never stops.
It is acting like an object in the vacuum of space, and not like a submarine in WD40.
WTF?!?!??!?!??!
This hurts my few remaining brain cells..............

Typical case of miningitis glaciis. I prescribe you to stop mining for at least two weeks and lose a frigate a day in pvp for that time. If the spinning of icicles hasn't stopped after that time, come see me again.

As part of the cure, also send all your ISK to me. I realize that you do not yet realize the benefits of this but you'll after you have sent all the ISK you have. Only then will you realize the curative effects of sharing your fortune with others. Trust me.

Eve ships slow down and otherwise experience drag because their power source and/or engines (some kind of space bending portable gravity well) create "drag" by interacting with subspace/whatever. The ice rock doesn't have this engine/power source and will spin/fly along forever as per normal Newtonian/Einsteinian mechanics.
Why do you think the planets don't actually orbit in Eve? Planet based versions of the gravity well/drag inducing power supplies/engines have stopped the planets from moving...
