Assuming perfect skills, what are the ships of choice for ganking haulers in highsec these days? I'm checking out siege Ravens, and they don't look that bad, but does anyone else have any other preferences that wouldn't cost too much to replace after insurance?

Edited by: Her Hotness on 02/08/2010 23:16:22 confirming that a 2 day old character using the Hulkageddon training plan (gallente) in an ion blaster catalyst can solo retrievers in .5 and .6 space at belts away from gate and station guns before concord gets there.
You can scale those results up from there as you see fit for your application.
Fit: catalyst ion blasters in all the highs antimatter S 1 or 2 Mag Stabalizer T1s also want to fit a ship scanner if you're looking for haulers to make sure the gank is worth it.
And, have a neutral alt standing by to grab the loot because concord won't leave the catalyst in 1 piece for very long.

Yeah, I thought about destroyers, as they put out quite a bit of damage for a low price.
I'm looking for for ships to take out Iterons and such on gates after they've been ship scanned by other people, any setups you can suggest?

Did not myself but heard several times that arty fitted tempest ( due to huuuge alpha) is a good choice.

ANTRS sometimes go money making in highsec for a week doing this, Our ship of choice is always the brutix. Sure you lose a bit of isk but you should be scanning your ittys anyway so the there should be a good bit of isk from the drop (if your lucky)

Ok - How are Siege Ravens relatively? I figure two TPs will do the job, and it's what I'm better trained for anyways

Though I've never tried to gank in a Raven, I can imagine it is a poor choice.
*It's a BS. Poor return on Insurance. *It's using missiles. That flight time, even with torps, can't be helping you. *Actually, I'm not sure what happens to a missile if you get popped while it's in flight. Is it the same as warping off? *It requires TPs/Webs to get the most out of hitting haulers.
Instead, look to Blasters, ACs, or Arties.
An Arty 'Cane will pop an industrial in 1/2 shots, is much cheaper than a Raven, looses less after insurance, doesn't require miscellaneous crap like TPs to work, etc etc etc. Or if you want something even cheaper, go with a blaster catalyst as suggested above. They work fine with just a little training.
