If i put items inside a POS lab i should be able to see them outside the 3k radius with scientific networking trained right? Somehow, i can't, is there a certain role you have to have to be able to see things inside POS labs?
Also (now where on the topic) i can't seem to access (secure) cans inside labs / arrays. Does anyone know what i need to tell my CEO to arrange that i can open them?

This is normal behavior. Scientific Networking allows you to remotely manage your prints stored in your office at the NPC station!. No need to fly your prints to the POS! :)

But if i want to do invention i need to have the stuff in de Labs right? Or do i have to store the BPC's in the corp hangar and the DC etc. in the labs?

No its working as intended. Welcome to invention and the never ending trips to your labs.

With scientific networking your bpcs may be in a station corporate hangar (if you wish). All other invention materials need to be present at whatever facility you are using. So if a POS, you must have your other materials in the POS.

Edited by: Qoi on 04/08/2010 10:13:45 Again for emphasis:
The skill scientific networking allows you to be in a different place than the slot you are doing research with. It does nothing at all with rules that govern location of blueprints, materials, output, etc.
Input/Output/Blueprints* always are at the exact same location where you are doing the research, i.e. the corp hangar of the POS array, the corp hangar in station for corp research in slots at a station, the personal hangar in station for personal jobs in slots at a station.
*There is an exception to the rule, if you are installing a corp research job anywhere in a system, the blueprint for that can be in any corp office in the same system, at the bottom of the corp hangar. this again has nothing to do with any skills whatsoever.
(The same is true for production and the skill supply chain management (the name is misleading))+
You cannot access containers in POS arrays, you have to take them out first. And you can look insided POS arrays with the API, a Director Full Access Key, and a asset viewer application, if you need. You'll have to find out which itemID corresponds to which array yourself tho, as item** names are not available via API.
(** item = instance of a type)

If you do not have scientific networking trained, you can still leave your BPO/BPCs in the corp hangar at the station and fly to your POS and start/deliver jobs.

Thx guys, it's working properly now. I was confused because before i just put the bpc's and dc etc. in the POS labs and start jobs within 3k from the lab. Now i leave a bunch of DC in the labs and put the bpc's in Corp hangar in station.
