Hi Everyone
I have been looking around the forums and what not, and read about the EIB scam. Very interesting to see what peoples comments were and that they thought CCP should have resolved the issue.
So It got me thinking of ways to retaliate towards "Cally" and I really could not think of any that would really do any real damage to him, as he did to others.
You could put a bounty on him and have his pod blown to a million bits, but what would he care he has enough money to make shore he has clones and ships to last a long time.
So I just wanted see what ideas and thoughts people had on a possible in game mechanics. That could act as a prosecution system. Or some other system that could make revenge equal and some what easier for the solo eve player.

I am sorry I did not know that that you are the beholder of this forum.
I do believe this is the General Discussion section, and I do believe that I can post what every I want concerning eve weather that be a question, idea or just curiosity.
If you don't like what I posted then don't reply you are just as guilty as me for posting useless topics if you are going to post a useless reply.
Thanks.

You could try not giving your money to someone for nothing in return. - It's not "Play through a pre-set story, become stronger, do endgame". Gameplay is open ended, and you make your own story. Unless you're too afraid of 'pvp grief' to do anything relevant |

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. And if I didn't tell you that your thread was terrible how would you ever know that you are someone who shouldn't post? I think I did you a favor in trying to save you from potential future embarrassment.

Personally, I applaud all involved in the EIB scam. A masterpiece of suckering the stupid.
Working as intended.

You only WISH that's how the bounty system works. In reality, you put a huge bounty on his head, he gets an alt of his to meet up, pod HIMSELF and cash the bounty.
P.S. Want revenge ? Hire GHSC or somebody equally skilled.

I don't agree that we should retaliate against such scammers. Most of them are wonderful people. |

Posting to confirm that I have (or at least I had until CCP removed folders from address book ) a long list of people I've ripped off, and I'm still waiting for at least one of them to do a half decent revenge job. The only guy who's ever tried in the 2 years I've been scamming botched it terribly and resulted in this thread. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac" |

I can never bring myself to scam anyone, much less /cry about getting scammed either. But that read is fantastic thanks for the linkage.
If you get scammed...its your fault and should be looked upon as a learning lesson. Hopefully, next time you don't loose as much in the process.
To the OP, if you have been scammed I can see how it'll be frustrating. I mean, how can you let yourself be scammed? "There's gotta be a way for the developers to protect you from your own poor misjudgment." Unfortunately, life doesn't work that way.
As for leading a crusade to protect all from the mischievousness of others, I suggest to pick more fruitful endeavors. Worry about your corpmates, and friends. Its less irritating and costs less.

Eve Interstellar Bank....
Was a scam where a player operated a virtual bank....then closed it and ran off with a ton of money...pretty ingenious if you ask me.

You read the OP right. And the point I was trying to make with my example was that people already have options to retaliate, they just don't use it, or fail at using it. In 2 years I've yet to have any legitimate attempt from anyone trying to retaliate at me for scamming. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac" |

about 671b in cash, and about 30b assets, so 700b is about right ;) http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/Shinnen/rastwallet.jpg
