Hi, all! tried logging on, but I'm getting a "Status: Unknown". Searching further, it appears that there may be a routing issues at Level3 in San Francisco area (I'm in northern Nevada). I can get to the forums if i use www.eveonline.com (x.y.39.197), but not if I use www.eve-online.com (x.y.39.196).
Is there a different server IP address I can set up in the client?

www.eve-online.com just redirects you to www.eveonline.com. If you bookmark www.eveonline.com you shouldn't have any issues.

Having the same trouble. I'm in Taiwan at the moment, so it might be trying to connect through the same networks?

This is actually an excellent justification for EVE Gate. I can still keep in contact with my corp and tell someone to take over until I get back.

If you are affected by this issue please submit a petition with your affected IP address under "other issues" then choose "community". We will need this to further investigate the issue.

I work for AT&T in the Tier 2 DSL support dept, they are experiencing a lot of fiber exchange issues all across the southwest and western area of North America in the last 24 hours. They haven't said why, but I wonder if the C3 class solar flare that is currently hitting the earth is to blame.

Very, very, likely. If you're keen on tracking such things more closely, here's a good link.

No, our service provider here at work is AT&T, and it appears that a lot of the routing goes thru the Bay Area. I was noticing that normally -up- websites weren't responding for my people, so some quick checking showed that all of the website routings for those websites (and Eve client) were running through Level3 routers in San Francisco. Even Level3.com/.net was failing for me. However, other websites normally used that DIDN'T route through those Level3 routers were working fine. Some investigation and a couple phone calls to friends at AT&T confirmed the issues I was seeing.
