Just a warning to anyone around Meildolf System Security Level: 0.3. He waits at gates with smart bombs and somehow hits you as you come out of warp so you cannot respond. If you see him in chat donÆt warp to another gate.
It was my brother he killed and we dont mean to sound like we are complaining about being poded or losing his ship. We know it was a risk hauling into deep space and it was all insured and pirates target cargo ships. I just didnÆt expect to be taken out by smart bombs so fast. He only has 300k skill points anyway so not like the replacement clone is going cost a lot. Just a warning for other pilots in that area.
Ginger Magician is very skilled with smart bombs insta bookmarks will not save you.

Edit: Pottsey what i can tell u is Gingers home area is usually Evati a 0.3 area and has an alt called Bea Dae, so u may want to watch that area and for his alt spying

Get a cruiser, 20km disruptor, and orbit him at like 15km and watch the sentrys make short work of him.
-edit- Come to think of it, you may need a few 20km disruptors, hes probably setup to run.

he tried getting me as i come out of warp, i was afking at the time and thought wtf, i didn't think, but i had 3 triple scrambler stiletto.. he might have had 8 wcs though ;)

For this moron I would recommend changing smartbombing at gates, simply so it would nerf him. He's a monumental pain in the arse, a coward, and pretty much the scum of the universe. He's universally disliked by pirates and newbies alike and he just sits in his smartbomb apoc all day blowing up newbies because he's a vindictive little sod at best.
Either activate gates again so they will attack smartbombers or boost up the sentry gun damage so they will actually act as a deterent against this kind of creep!

He did threaten to declare war on my corp however ... it gave me the warm fuzzies

jerkwads like this guy ruin the game as stated before. i have seen several others, and am sick of hearing "pirates always use lame tactics blah blah blah whine whine whine", when i have actually seen the so-called anti-pirates relying more on huge 10v1+ outnumbering tactics and such, and then smakking in local when their target doesnt want to fight impossible odds. its frakking hilarious watching a blob of anti-pirates gang up at a gate in some 0.4 system i happen to be pirating in, and then they send me smak-mail when i am too fast for them to lock and manage to get thru the gate.
so good job to anyone who kills this smaktard (wow how did i go off on that tangent earlier? hm......). you're doing the EVE community a great service. thats one less coward who wont fight a fair and honest 1v1 without warping out or calling for 10 BS or something. nice kill

I donÆt think you can escape as you get hit coming out of warp in that 5 second stage where you cannot activate modules, turn or even start to warp out. If there is a way around it can someone share please. As he useÆs smart bombs he also does not need to lock you saveing seconds and proven smart bombs are not useless.
I guess a fully tanked Mk5 with hardeners might have made it with insta bookmarks. But new players cannot fly those.

Well gee, CCP put up these nice turrets at every warpgate, only problem is
a) You can tank them
b) You can snipe from range
c) You can sacrifice your ship and have a friend grab loot (this works in high sec too)
I think we all agree that there should be SOME way to be a pirate, but where's the risk involved? Even if you manage to botch it so bad that you lose your ship...you just get your insurance and do it again.
As opposed to the hauler who's carrying hundreds of mil worth of stuff, why is the hauler/miner/carebear taking all the loss when the pirate/griefer/whatever is operating with no risk?
So this guy lost his apoc, big deal. He's just gonna farm his insurance fee and be out there again doing the same thing.
So there's no way to stop him, no way for the victim to keep from dying, basically just an open and shut case of exploiting a highly exploitable ruleset.

PS - When is a bounty hunting profession going to be viable?

So this guy lost his apoc, big deal. He's just gonna farm his insurance fee and be out there again doing the same thing.
So there's no way to stop him, no way for the victim to keep from dying, basically just an open and shut case of exploiting a highly exploitable ruleset.

It's not his game style that annoys people so much. As Sass mentioned, multiple wcs is a completely legitimate tactic, especially for someone who is PvPing alone.
What galls is the constant level of high volume, poor quality smack. I've been around a while, I've heard a lot of smack in my time (and admittedly given some) some good, some bad. But I've never had to put up with anything like the poor quality drivel that man spouts.

I've only seen one smack fest on Eve where both parties spoke fluent ***** and it was highly ammusing for all involved and the spectators ;)

Whilst a lot of people may be upset to hear this surely anyone with a crap record or massive criminal record would pay a massive premium or be uninsurable to increase the cost to them so they are more careful about getting blown up or the actions they take.
WHilst i doubt it will stop this guy, in fact make more like him as its "safer" it does add that challenge/risk side to pirating that some people are asking for ;P
Or maybe have a black market insurance gig with a slightly different angle to normal insurance for cims ;)

Meh ginger sux, nuff said, dont give him more forum time he's starting to get big headed about being famous n ****. Basically nobody cares, nobody will ever care, posts like this will always be flamed, you guys whining suck its all part of the game n00bs or not. Alts carry nice stuff in indies hoping not to get shot cause they "new." its a well known fact.

He also roams in Heimatar low sec space, so beware miners and traders. His latest alt-spy is named Space Rover. See him? Warp to safety :) I got a taste of his lil' Maggy and Ogres while mining, but I did manage to do my CONTINENTAL DRIFT SLOW 180 degree turn and warp out again to a safespot, and with 75% armor to spare :)

Well, another Alt of Ginger is Crom`ar Lev.
I know him from an encounter a year ago and after he got shot, he sent a lot of mails that showed his age. must be a 13 year old kid with no friends. if he is not of that age i would say he should take some medical care.

I popped his alt Crom'ar Lev in Atlar the other day. Turned out that he was using a passive targeter and a shipscanner so he can figuer out ppl's fittings.
When ya see any of his alts, always expect the worst.

How did he get Passive Targeters to work? They never seem to continuosly work for me. It goes one cycle then stops. Even when autorepeat is on :/

You pay real money to play game which provides you with player INTERACTION all the way to ability to kill each other.
In this game, you know the rules, you know what space is secure if you dont want to interact with offencive people. But due to greed, vanity or ignorance you go the space there people suppose to be able to kill you.
Humans.... what do you want?
If ships cost nothing - whats the thrill to lose them? If cargo was not precious why haul it? If game united people to make a conflict but everyone smiled and greeted you why would play it?
Look around you in real life - people are so different, I even wounder how they understand basic things, some smack, some have pride, some are rich and getting even more, some dont care and enjoy, tomorrow some will steal you real wallet, car or sell you kidney from a fresh corpse. What did you expect from the game? A bunch of honorable knights on white horses offering you a fair fight any time you like, location and weapon of your choice and eager to pay your expencies in case you lose?
Not like I like or support the subject in any way, but aren't we decently mature not to complain about bad guy we dont like?
PS
...On the other news, a join brigade of "fair fighters" ganked a long suspected regional pirate. Amazinly comming only 88 on 1 they were were able to scramle his low life coward setup of 5 stabs and blew him up. Another great victory was higly acclaimed on eve forums....
