The images are large, and there's videos tucked in here, so I'll just repeatedly link things. Tell me what you think of these.

I agree with DarhJosh.
Especially liked how the video was done for the Junker.
I look forward to more.

Not a big fan of the textures, they don't "fit in" somehow, the actual models look awesome though.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, and I agree that the textures don't fit. There's only so much I can do with a procedural texture, so I should probably look into getting something better.

Edited by: Merin Ryskin on 07/08/2010 02:24:21 Three comments for you:
1) As you said, procedural textures have some severe limitations. Unless your model is incredibly detailed and you have an awesome renderer, you're going to need to hand-paint your textures.
2) Your models are really lacking in detail. All you have is the roughest outline of a ship, without all the fine details, it just looks like a featureless blob. I can't really say much here besides "look at ships other people have made for inspiration", as so much of this is based on your personal style.
3) Your renderer sucks. Everything is way too dark, and if you have any lighting beyond the default, I can't really tell. Find one that can handle global illumination (preferably including HDRI environment lighting), radiosity, and area lights. Even if you buy all your software (yeah right) and can't afford the top-end stuff, there are free renderers available that can do all of this.
In short: it's not a bad start, but you've got a lot of work to do. -----------
