why is it that when a member deletes a corp mail from the corp mail folder it gets deleted from everyone's corp mail folder
this is a general pain in the ass as I have had to re write many eve mails now due to this

I have the impression the corp and alliance mails are lost after you log out...

no, they get deleted by somene and then you don't see them anymore 
There also seems to be a random problem with sending out corp evemails and those people not online not recieving them. Some of those offline get them, others don't.

From what I have seen, if a message is deleted then upon next logon people will not see the message.
Example
Person A sends corp mail and immediately sees it
Person B was already logged on on and sees mail
Person C logs on and see the evemail
Person A deletes mail
Person D logs on and will not see mail as it was not there when they logged on
Persons B and C (not sure of A) can still see the evemail as they have not logged on since the mail was deleted.
Person B relogs. Now the evemail will have disappeared for person B, but person C can still see it.
