Nobody primaries a Drake.
7 x HML II
1 x Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive 2 x PWNAGE Target Painter 2 x Invul II 1 x LSE II
1 x DC II 3 x BCS II
3 x CDFE I
5 x Some light drones. ECM or shield maint probably.
> MWD for range control and burning back to gates (always worth it). > 3 damage mods because you want to do as much damage as possible. > Doesn't need more tank: enough buffer to allow a warp if you suddenly take hits (if it isn't, chances are more tank wouldn't have helped) but by that time it means loads of your guys are already dead (unless somehow you're the most dangerous thing in your fleet - there are larger problems if this is the case). > Dual painters because everyone loves extra damage and faster locking, especially on tacklers and nanoHAC's.
With my skills I get (compared to your stats)
EHP: 83,213 (94,260 overloaded) DPS: 380 (I also have two target painters - SCORE) Speed: 1038 m/s

Swap second painter for a f-s9 LSE and I agree. Unless you're running solo there will be other drakes to paint the target, 2 painters per drake are a waste of tank (namely, about 15, 20k ehp per drake)
Yeah, that was my first attempt as well. Sadly it's JUST short on CPU and I prefer to plug the PG implants in since I get more use out of it. I also rarely trust everyone else to fit the same way I do and therefore don't count on many others taking painters.
If you have the CPU implant or switch the DC for a best named then it fits (and is likely better as pointed out). Last time I checked best named DC's were mental expensive and I'm quite cheap though. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

If I'm in a small fleet (ie: me and 3 of my friends, 1 of whom is an inty, 1 cruiser (moa), 1 battleship (dominix), and me, being a Drake), would it be worth it to use Heavy Assault Launchers and fit a buffer tank?
Yup. This is how you'd do it:
7 x HAM II 1 x Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I
1 x Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive 1 x Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I 1 x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I 2 x Invul II 1 x LSE II
3 x BCS II 1 x DC II
3 x CDFE I
5 x Some light drones (ECM or Warrior II)
Needs a PG4 implant to fit (which makes a lot of other awesome ship fittings possible) but if you don't want it or already have an Omega in there, replace a HAM with a HML (rage) instead of fitting a PDS - you lose less dps that way.
As a happy by-product, this fit works pretty well solo. Beaten some frankly mental odds in one of these. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

Re-read the circumstances under which I gave the HAM fit. See where you went wrong? Fleet fits already given earlier in thread, specific small gang question addressed. Correctly I might (and do) add. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |
