Does anyone know of a map/description detailing which npc pirate faction inhabits/pirats which area of emp space? Also, is there any known list detailing which general loot to expect from different rat factions ?

Gallente/Syndicate/FA/Cloud Ring/Outer Ring/maybe Fade & Deklein all have Serpentis/Guardian Serpentis Rats. Those mostly drop rails, blaster, armor stuff and so on.
Caldari/Pure Blind/Venal/Tenal/Branch/Vale of the Silent/Tribute/Geminate all have Guristas. Those mostly drop missile & shield related stuff.
Minmatar/Curse/Great Wildlands & and regions behind all have Angel rats. Those mostly drop Projectile & shield stuff, atleast i think.
Parts of Amarr/SE/Xetic all have Sansha rats. Those drop laser and armor stuff.
Parts of Amarr and the ex-CFS regions like Period Basis all have Blood Raider rats. Also laser & armor stuff.
Those might not be all correct, but thats the deal afaik

Looks pretty correct to me... except that Deklein has Guristas rather than Serpentis rats.

a correction, serpentis, gallente stuff taht is, drop BLASTERS
CALDARI, guristas, DROP RAILGUNS.
