judging by the 10 testers currently online, this extended DT has nothing to do with start-up issues and more to do with 'now deep safes are removed, we'd better check to see what its screwed up first before letting the moaning gits back on'.

Well, at least I'm in work for the next 12 hrs, all the deep SS removal side affects should be fixed by then and the servers will be up

After any update we need to go in and test things to make sure they're working as intended, since we had some startup issues the testers couldn't go in as planned but had to wait a bit, so the delay is due to startup issues, not testing taking longer than intended.

Was making a last minute fuel run to my POS just before DT. Have a Prorator sitting in system full of fuel, and the POS is running out at 13:00. Perrrrfect!

Was doing homework for my classes today while I was half-paying attention to my ship on its way to Rens. Lost track of time, so I didn't realize the server had went down until my client closed. Real smart, eh?

You would think with so many negative things being said about EVE on the Internets that CCP would at least try a bit harder.
Funny there seems to be no issues with the payment systems that take people's money.

So fuel your POS's before they start screaming at you and all's good.
Perhaps you'll get to have fun re-onlining everything as an object lesson in why last minute isn't the way

When will we (the customers) realize this is a game and not real world jobs or politics?
If i got as upset (ref the latest forumposting) when playing a game... i realy would consider to stop playing. A game is suppose to be fun, if it is not... quit doing it!
To those thinking about saying: ."..but im paying for this..". Yes... YOU are paying, CCP are not taking your money from you
Originally by: CCP Fallout
No. CCP Shadow should behave the same way forums do during downtime. Up, but maybe a little slow.

the eve server is like jenga - they have to be careful when removing and adding new stuff. Unfortunately most times it topples over so they extend downtime...

Originally by: Poo Ka'hontas Blah, blah, set the CCP dove pigeons free.
Maybe you should just **** off and let people vent in the only part working in this sandbox environment.
I get to sit down to play for a short while then to cop DT (which is in the wrong time based purely on player numbers by the way) only to have it extended because some ****s don't remember who pays for the shiny servers (LOL that shine and little else).
If service was provided as promised (C U Next Tuesdays can **** off with EULA **** too BTW) people wouldn't rage about long DTs.
