I was in Kronsur and noticed a lot of magnates being piloted by people with strange names like dumplingst, flower heart and specialst, to name a few. They undocked and warped to Edmalbrurdus where they docked in the republic uni school.
A short time later they would undock and warp back to Kronsur.
No one would reply to convo invites and the oldest char I saw was 10 days old.
Went to bed and got up today to see the same thing happening but the names have changed.
Anyone got any idea what they are doing?

they are ccp sanctioned bots....since even if they get reported.... ccp does da nada.

I've seen loads of these magnates, all hedion university, no bios, names like jkeghfcvjyg and 89dfbb77.
People have said "Cyno alts, obviously." Or even "Bots you fool."
Only seen em in hi sec tho.
If anyone finds out fer sure i would be interested, damn it i need closure on this one.

Seen this happening before in lowsec. We assumed they were bots running couriers, so we made a lil' campaign about it. We got a lot of Magnate kills, and shortly thereafter (Maybe a week?) they stopped.

Also, why not just check the markets there and see if station 1 sells something station 2 buys etc.

I noticed this too when I was grinding up faction standings with the L4 courier agent at Kronsur. Not just Magnates. Bestowers, non stop, all with the exact same fit, all jump with similar delay times, all obvious LP grinding bots.

they had them in khanid all the time....
like wagon traders, or whatever they called them back in the west

It could also be possible that they literally are ccp bots. Maybe the devs are trying out some bot programs to see how they work and maybe find a way to detect them? As long as they destroy the alts and never use any of the gains from them then it will have no effect on the game but could finally solve the bot issue. Heh, now that is some news I bet our red friends would not like to hear.

At first I took "red friends" to mean the soviets (russians), and couldn't quite understand what you were getting at.
