I'll keep it easy to follow along.
Deployed by Haulers.
Very Good DPS
Cannot move from position.
Decent HP.
Large
Expensive, but not MOM or Titan Expensive.
Each volley does around 1600 to 2000 damage.
Assist in DPS against Stations and Pos'.
Scoop take home.

So your sugesting a pos gun that dosent need to actualy be anchored to a pos?
I can already see 2 major ways of abusing this
1. drop as many as you want next to your own pos to give yourself potentialy unlimited dps, no thanks.
2-----------------
1. Large mobile warp disrupter at gate, check
2. 20 or so of the weapon proposed by the op, check
3. Compleate afk farming of anyone unfortunate enough to warp through the gate in question, check
4. Introducing a game mechanic that removes the need for an alliance to actualy defend their space as automated guns now do it for them, Check

I can see this as a Extra Large Sentry Drone, which then should apply to pilots drone skills. Give it where the pilot would have to give ammo to the drone every so often and the user has a increases sig radius, with it's usage. Slow Firing rate, and bad tracking. But when it does hit, high damage.
Trying to think of ways so that this doesn't get abused, but it is a good idea.

Medium/Low HP on the cannons, so this thing does need to be repped. Bad tracking, can only be used against POS`s and Stations, terrible lock time.

Skipping over the thread I actually thought you suggested something like a module that transforms your target into an industrial ship :P
And while images recalling macross and transformers came to mind, I stopped myself and went "Wait, what?" :D
