THERE IS NO REASON TO EVER UNDOCK WITH A PLEX IN YOUR CARGOHOLD!
Gametime can be added ANYWHERE in the universe.
Does not matter if the PLEX is in Jita, and you are in a wormhole system with no links to known space, you can still use your asset search feature to right click -> add game time to account
PLEXs can be REVERSE REDEEMED
If you put two PLEXs in a single stack, right click the stack and click "Return To Redeem Items"
This takes the PLEXs out of the game and onto you account page, where you can again Redeem them upon reaching your destination.
Conclusions
Don't undock with a PLEX in your cargo hold.
Especially if you got a war on.
DOUBLE ESPECIALLY if you got a war on and you are flying an untanked defenseless ship with no cloaking device.

Ok, that's two words, but is one reason, which is more than 'no reason'.

Then why not just re-redeem them, fly to the station you were going to transport them to, redeem them and then sell them? It sounds like there really is no reason have one in your cargo hold.

plus you can always just make an alt drop him in jita and use that to buy/activate

From the dev blog about moveable PLEX:

So, the only way to actually move a PLEX from one station to another is by ship. The dev blog also says that this reverse-redeem restriction is not new.

Just be sure you don't move many at a time and your ship transporting them is well fitted to resist those suicide ships (not so sure what the best suicide ships are capable of but surely a well fitted cargo ship could resist until concord blows the pirate out of the sky, right?)

Where are you flying your PLEXes in your well-fitted cargo ship? I want to... um... come escort you and help CONCORD blow the pirates out of the sky faster!

I dont have any plex's and being extremely paranoid myself if i'd have to move any it would be in my shield *****d Rokh and maximum 5 at a time (depending on how many i'd have to transport), now again i don't know what suicide ships are capable of but surely killing a well shielded BS isn't that easy?

And remember kids, if you decide to move $1,300 worth of plexes then don't do it in a kestrel.
I mean really, if for some reason you want to do it, at least put them in a BS with a big buffer tank or a covops or something.

They are more than capable of suicide ganking Freighters. It happens all the time. BS won't be a problem.
