Not sure if here is the place to make thread like this.
Tonight I was helping a carrier pilot with cynos. Well I was approaching the shield of a POS and hit the cyno and slide about half way into the shield. After this I was contacted by a cloaked pilot near by saying what I had done was an exploit. The first thing i did was go off here to look and see if it was or not. With no luck i decided to ask here.

iirc, anything that'd make your cyno ship invulnerable is considered an exploit (aka: sliding into a POS shield so that you're unlockable during a cyno, which has to occur with the ship a distance from the shield)

How can it be an exploit, yet you can still be moving and light the cyno. If ccp REALLY did not want you to light a cyno and slide anywhere, they could make it so you had to be stopped to light it. IMO its not an exploit, its just using the game mechanics to your advantage

Dont listen to players telling you what an exploit s or not, unless you screw with the eve client, a gm would contact you and tell you to stop if it was in fact an exploit, without further consequences.

I did this once, except I ended up all the way inside the shield. I made a petition to see if it was considered an exploit and it turns out it is.

I did that once and it automatically shut off my cyno. I'm guessing that no longer happens.

p sure it is an exploit. makes me laugh when you see cyno-kessies doing it
