Oh and ASS are****s, they have been for a long time. The big deal they made out of the aunenen camp etc just shows that. They are senseless gankers and griefers, and now scammers. Just about the lowest form of the community imo.

Yep I think they pretty well fit the description of pirates. Now if we were talking about heroic outlaws that would be something different, but we're not, we're talking about pirates.
If you fly an indy through an 0.0 pipe and get ganked it's your own fault.. and if you pay a scammer 30m for ten units of trit.. it's still your own fault.

You know I keep reading the same lame theme every day.
"XXX is dishonorable."
Except for the *very* few people that actually RP a pirate...the entire rest of the "profession" are doing it OOC for fun, what many other games would call "griefing."
The "pirate" (the person, not the character) is ripping off you (the person, not the character) for fun (in RL, not in the game.)
In fact people record conversations of ****ed off victims just to enjoy themselves more, its called taking RL joy in the RL pain of others, in other words sadism.
Why am I explaining all this?
Because I keep hearing dimwitted "pirates" like yourself complaining about being ripped off/scammed/corp hangar wiped/character login changed/etc by "dishonorable pirates."
Aside from the %1 of the game that actually roleplays...to everyone else, the Eve client is an Operating System with a nice screen saver that allows them to hurt others in virtual reality without the risk of being punched in the face.
The mistake you make here, Karch, is that you assumed that most pirates are just "playing a role" when in fact most ppl out there would pay RL money to watch a webcam of a frustrated player yell and scream in rage and then commit suicide.
In fact something like that happened to an Everquest player, and most of his fellow gamers were like "LOL what a dumbass."
