when people asked to boost projectile at least they posted long threads with numbers and all the others maths stuff.
here in hybrid boost thread all i see is: hey ccp boost my toy because all the others weapon got a boost i want mine boosted too.
no one post numbers because hybrid are fine large blasters outdamage projectiles up to 20km range wich is ALOT for a close range weapon rails are still able to push respectable dps at great range even if they suffer a bit on the capacitor.
all the comparison with the armageddon are fine but the geddon its just designed to be an awesome BS.

Originally by: Sigras I think this thread could benefit from some perspective, so I made some graphs to illustrate whats going on here.
All of these graphs are with a torp raven, autocannon maelstrom, blaster mega, and pulse armageddon drone damage applied, perfect skills, and two damage mods (the Maelstrom gets two ambit extension rigs)
The first graph is the shortest range, highest damage faction ammo against a stationary avatar (might as well be a station) Linkage
The second graph is the T2 long range ammo against a stationary avatar Linkage
The third graph is the shortest range highest damage faction ammo against an armageddon afterburning at 300 m/s perfect transversal Linkage
you guys still think autocannons are OP? it seems pretty clear to me that the OP weapon is the laser
comparing different tiers of BS isnt exactly fair
try with hyperion-maelstrom-abaddon for more realistic results
anyway i agree laser are the weapon that is clearly better than the others. if you look at projectile vs blaster they are pretty well balanced any dps/range buff to blaster would require an adjustment to AC do dont put them again in the sucky level they was before the boost

There are some projectile users who are aware. I for example advocate a raise in grid fitting.
i can agree in that ONLY if minmatar ships grid get adjusted accordingly.
the only projectile weapons that are really easy on the fit are small autocannon and dual 180mm
strictly speaking of weapons: - 425mm (medium AC) for example require more fitting than focused modulated pulse and they push out the same dps with laser having alot more range - dual 650mm AC and dual heavy pulse have the exact grid requirements with the difference that laser push out more dps and have alot more optimal - 800mm AC use more grid than ion blaster cannon and ion blaster cannon do better than the AC up to 155km with null -light electron blaster do MORE dps than 200mm AC with crap range i know but blaster can still use higher tiers wich have even better range and dps AC dosent have that oppurtunity since with 200mm they already at max -gatling pulse laser again the smaller tier of laser have again better dps than 200mm AC with far better range, aucannons use 4 PG and 9cpu while gatling pulse use 6pg and 4cpu.
the strenght of minmatar ships over speed and agility wich got nerfed over and over during the years is that they can fit (on some ships) oversized tanks to make up for they lackuster weaponry
