Then we'd get Transgaming fired and a real Mac client. No CCP employee in their right mind would run Eve for Mac as it stands. Frog blast the vent core! |

Heck yeah, get Transgaming and CCP staff playing EVE and running roams in nullsec while playing the Mac client. No Windows client for CCP staff.
Eat your own dogfood, and all that.

Edited by: Flynn Fetladral on 17/08/2010 12:10:51 1) There are a good few CCP Employees who play on Macs. 2) Imagine the emo-rage when CCP says that their resources are unavailable for the next 18 months while they work on making a Mac native client. Unless the Mac suddenly becomes a much, much bigger share of the client user base compared to the PC, then you can pretty much forget a native Mac client.

Who would really WANT to play on this crappy client if they didn't have to?

Perhaps you guys didn't see this:
Originally by: CCP Fallout We are currently testing a number of fixes for the Mac client on the Singularity server right now, and have been doing so since last week.
These are the Mac-specific changes we're currently testing:
Mac Version ò Graphics glitches with shader set to high on ATi cards have been fixed. ò Various crash issues have been fixed. ò EVE Mail cache issue has been fixed. ò Some memory leaks were found and plugged. ò Crash reporter has been removed, it will return later after some improvements have been made.
It is our hope that these will help increase performance for Mac players.
I'm also using a 2007 Macbook Pro and also know exactly what you're going through. A number of devs also play on Apple products as well, and we work closely with Transgaming on getting our issues resolved as quickly as possible.

IF CCP tests their product on Macs, they had to have known about all these glitches before they released the last expansion. They released it anyway. If these kind of gamebreaking glitches were present in the Windows client, I would be willing to bet that the expansion would have been delayed until they were fixed. This tells me that MY $15/month isn't worth near as much as a Windows user's $15.
