Ive been living in a Class 2 WH now for the past few months running the Sites. I have a Medium POS with Guns/ECM and it defends its self fairly well, that is when its 'Online'.
I run 2 accounts, 1 main PVP. The other has a toon that can fit a T2 Drake and another toon that can fly an ORCA.
I am running the sites in a Sleipnir and a Drake (for extra Sleeper aggro). I use a Destroyer to Salv up afterwards. It normally takes me around 10/15 mins do do a site. I know I can run them solo in the Drake, but I have no time to sit round and wait for the Drakes DPS to break through.
I have been toying with the idea of removing the Medium POS and using my Alt as a base as he can fly an ORCA. And just using that as a mobile base, as he can carry ammo/repairs between Sleeper sites. While My main 'The Sliepnir' pilot and Alt can fly the Drake run the sites.
Managing POS fuel is a pain in the butt atm as I'm studying in RL and have limited game time.
Do any of you have experience operating out of an ORCA? Ideally the ORCA will log in to drop ammo off, gather collected salvage and then log off again. It will also be cloaky, just incase.
In addition if this goes well, I may look at moving my mobile operation to a Class 3 WH. As my main is a few days away from fielding a LOKI all skills 4/5 and my Drake pilot is 50 days from a Tengu all skills 4/5.
Does anyone else do this?

Lots of people do this. Running a POS can be a real pain in w-space if you are on your own. Just be sure that your Orca is safe and well situated before you start running sites or you could find your base under attack with no force field to hide behind.

High: Cloak, probe launcher, cap transfer Mid: 2 Invul, 1 Ther, 1 EM Low: DCU II, Reinforced Bulkheads II
Basically we had alts sit cloaked at safespot. When they uncloak, we make a new safespot.
Probe launcher isn't really used, as you should have a probing frigate in the Orca's bay. The launcher is more for those times when your main gets podded.
Cap transporter is for use with fitting service. Carry local shield / armor / structure reps for all your ships to use, so they can be fit as needed. Same for remote reps so you can repair drones and the Orca.
Bring some nanite paste too.
