I am doing some trade runs to and from jita, nothing big just starting out. Some of my corpmates have shown interest in investing in my trade runs. My question what is a good setup so that I benefit from the investments and my investors get a decent payout? If there is some thread I have missed feel free to point me in that direction

Edited by: RaWBLooD on 17/08/2010 01:20:40 Anything between 5-15% a month can be good for both parties when starting out. If it's long term it should be lower to keep you from burning out, if it's short term you can pay higher especially when it is between friends. miners-you can: switch, rob, wardec, nerf, scam them, buy below market, pirate them on their way to sell. mining < trading, ratting, manufacturing from market bought minerals, they still wont go away |

Too high will make you seem like a scammer, too low and no one will really invest. The amount you're looking for will also determine some on if they can trust you with it or not. As Raw said, make sure you don't burn out, if you say 6% per month for 3 months make sure you return 6% per month for 3 months then return the capital. So making the goal obtainable is just as important as attracting investors.

Thanks for the tips guys. I am not really interested in outside investors as I'm just small time, and what I work with is pocket change to all of you. I would enjoy the process of turning my 2 mill onto 2 bill, and bring my corpmates along for the ride. On a side note, the total value of my isk on hand and the value of my buy sell orders is liquid assets right?

Highly simplified version:
ISK in wallet == liquid assets ISK in buy orders == not quite liquid assets, but meh, ok, call'em liquid for simplicity's sake ISK's worth in goods (hangar or sell orders) == just assets, not liquid Borrowed stuff's ISK value, debts to be paid in the future, other foreseeable obligations == liabilities N.A.V. == all assets (liquid or otherwise) - liabilities

Ok thanks for the clarification. My grasp of economics is limited. I'm at the level where I think I can make a decent amount on eve over time.
