Hey Guys!
AS i am about to leave for a 4 Week Vacation i would like to do the following:
Download the whole EVE Site (especially the Forums) for Offline View. I tried Once using HHtrack but failed. somehow the files that have been downloaded wont work properly when looked at while beein in offline mode (browser). What i would also like to know is if any of the devs has any idea on the estimated filesize DL'ed. ofc i would exclude videos and backdrops and such. it is mainly the forums i care about.
so anyone who has an idea how on how i could get this task done properly. plz feel free to leave a comment or two.

You can't download the forums, the best you ~might~ be able to do is download some threads as the are right now, but you can't get any new posts... You could download the Chronicles and stuff though :D

i have been wondering about your question and i have come up with a solution! \o/
what you have to do is be really really nice to chribba maybe by giving him lots of veldspar, and then try to persuade him to email you a usb key containing the sql dump of eve search

no for real shoudln't it be possible to make an offline copy of the forums wihtout having to DL the whole SQL thingy (which i admit im not very good at).
but at least u brought up an idea! i will try the same procedure on eve-search.com
guess i won't pay in veld. anyways even if i wanted to i couldn't afford to pay chribba,...

LOL ye it prolly is. thats why i need to have my chunk of-fline (<wordplay) where ever i go.

I haven't actually tried to mirror the website with it, but it works well for most stuff. The forums may or may not be able to be mirrored with it.

Well, the forum is stored in SQL thingy It's just how it works.

I'm surprised to see that nobody has asked why?? is your holiday going to be that boring that you want to trawl through old eve forum posts

haha, no won't be that boring. i just like to have a plan b just in case if i catch a few rainy days. so whats better than takin ur laptop to a cafe/bar have a few drinks while u read on.
and if some nice girl comes by i can always shut the thing down. :-)
well i just like to be prepped for every possibility. just in case.
u guys can ofc wish me that i never even touch the darrn laptop. but well... guess u already know im kinda addicted to those keyboard things and even when im on vacation i gotta play a few casual games here n there. or as i already stated have a good read. and as i ran outta books i thougt forums are next.
