I might not be new to EVE, but there didn't seem to be any other place where I could post this, and I'm new to this subject anyways: Is there any 'complete' version of Caldanese?
If there is one, could I please have some more info on it, any way possible? Or at least a translation of a phrase I have? If there is none, could you please help me phrase something in Caldanese that might be considered canon after phrasing it?
Please contact me in this topic or mail.
All I can find is small incomplete lists of words like this one (all list seem to have the same words btw).

If Caldanese were Japanese, it would be a very bad dialect :p

Sorry but we can't have that level of nerd in eve. Next thing will be speaking Klingon and wondering why kids pick on you. Sorry to be nasty but there is a nerd level of acceptance in eve.

It's a Japanese root mixed with heck-knows-what-else and in what proportions (quite possibly some heavy Finno-Hungric component), cooked for 20k+ years (out of which at least 8k not just in complete isolation, but also in borderline savagery). If it didn't sound like a very bad Japanese dialect, THAT would be weird. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Caldari_Language (see links inside for possibly more info)

I just want it for a name for a Caldari corporation and a catch phrase for it :p There isn't enough info on the language to make it believable.

Please don't confuse a random name generator with a language. Tolkien died quite a few years ago.

Lol, I'll try not to do so :p I'm actually hoping for real canon Caldanese, as the topic title might suggest, I just wish there was a way to contact CCP crew themselves, I think they are the only ones who know stuff about this, or where to look for it. If you have hints on that, I'd be glad to hear them.

Edited by: Taverner on 21/08/2010 21:30:11 Why not post an 'In Character' request, I don't know, as a Caldari scholar or something, in the IGS Board? Just a thought.

You go to the next fanfest (late in the year) and bribe the right dev with beer.

Yeah, I'll just do that then, hope for the best, but an official confirmation or denial for the stuff I already got would really brighten up my day :p Thanks for the suggestion btw.
