Yes, templates, that marvelous "browse" button in the fitting panel ingame is still broken, and still a damn pain in the a.s.s to have to be changing the tanking modules after each mission manually (I lost a BC 3 weeks ago becouse I fitted the wrong hardeners for the mission). Before Tyrannis it was just two clics and tadaaa magic! Now it just STILL plain s.u.c.k.s. every single hardener has to be unfitted and fitted manually. I have just checked it out if it was already been fixed as this has been talked about before, but when I clicked the "FIT" button in the fitting template list, it just STRIPPED the whole ****ing ship!!!
Just focus on this, it's a real pain for mission runners.
P.S. No this thread isn't here becouse I have lost another ship.

How about stop being a lazy t**t and pay attention to what modules you are fitting to your ship.

you should click strip fit first.. and this will remove all mods off the ship.
wait 5 seconds
fit with the saved fitting.
if for any reason their is a mod missing for the new fit then it is easier to see because you will have a empty slot. this is suppose to make fitting faster but you should never blindly trust it.
also if the fitter ever comes across a problem then it always gives you a popup explaining what about the fit it was unable to finish. if you ignore this window then it is your own loss. It cant fit if the mod is not available. It cant online those mods if their is not enough CPU or grid

Hell, I know how fitting ingame works. However If you strip before fitting you have to rearange the weapon agroupations everytime, which s.u.k.c.s balls. The point is, it was working perfectly before Tyrannis, and now it's not, it's a step backwards, it makes no sense, it needs to be fixed.
I don't blame this problem for the lost BC, just my lack of attention after way too many hours of gameplay but anyway things working good going erratic in future patches is definitely out of understanding.
