Welcome back.
Sadly, CCP has been severely nerfing low-sec for ages (by boosting/creating other areas), and in a great wasteland even getting risky fights is quite problematic on its own. But all in all, here it comes, and I'm quite happy with what I've got.
It's not perfect (there are several typos in the text to say the least!), but suddenly it turned out that I had already had 30 minutes worth of various stuff, thus I decided to release it and dump any new clips (should they come in the first place) into another movie.
This vid cost me about 7 billion isk in lost ships alone and I don't see myself creating any more movies (of this type at least) in any reasonable timeframe - partially cause I can't really afford losing that much isk, partially due to ethical reasons, since tossing out expensive loot to blobers (who clearly don't deserve it) just results in me spoiling them even further, - so I hope you'll enjoy this one.
Cya in 18 months plus whatever it will take to get some fights :P

Actually I like each and every of the tracks in use. Sorry if you don't, but at least I think they fit...
As for the voice. Well... I can only express deep regret at those who didn't happen to play (and recall) Duke Nukem 3d!

I mean, c'mon, where is the drama? I've just finished writing a hude post @ the leading Russian EVE-related forum consisting of 620 words and 4000 sybmols, just cause we happen to have some... er... incompatibility of views. Now that's really fun!
Where are all the accusations of multi-boxing abusing, n00b bashing, faction mods etc?
Most of the feedback I've get here so far makes me think I had made some plain OK'ish movie. Like you liked it more or less, but something is missed or it even lacks anything worth noticing. (or you guys were way too kind in the past and just had spoilt me)
And either of this makes me sad.

Just watched and overall a solid video. What I love watching is the way you fly the NH and you know its capabilities so damn well and push it for everything it has is great. As for alts/faction mods, aint nothing wrong with that, you've found the strong points of the ship and got the mods to exploit them which is just plain clever.
The only negative for me is despite your mostly good piloting, the quality of your opposition does seem on average pretty low. Getting into scram range of the drakes right off the bat in your tengu should have killed you but somehow they failed to capitalize on it twice. You were quite often in heated web range, neut range of BS etc and it didn't hurt you. The fight in a mission/plex or w/e, you may have killed a bunch them but as something to watch it felt like you were bashing incompetent bears who did you a favour by sticking around. Its no reflection on your piloting ability, which was very good but tbh it would be more entertaining seeing you fight 2 brilliant pvpers and *just* coming out on top than running rings around a collection of bads who miss multiple opportunities to lock you down and kill you. As that one guy commented in the POS fight "officer disruptor?". Show us someone who clicks and goes okay, loki boosted NH with active tank, here is our counter, lets dance- that would be awesome to watch.
I like what you do but it needs some variety whether its who you fight, where you fight or what ship your running. Hit up different lowsec, run a wardec, head out to 0.0, fly some different ships.

I strongly object that fights like "here is our counter, lets dance" could be of any real fun. Despite all the skill, mods and w/e else 1 ship can not compete with multiple ships, which came there solely to counter you. Most of these encounters are just plain ganks.

When I say counter I don't mean some ganksquad running around specifically fitted to kill your NH- thats no fun at all. What I mean is people that are competent enough to be hitting you with those heated webs, neuting your ass within 25km- not burning after you like lemmings at half your speed and dying horribly. It seemed to me that your opposition simply had zero understanding of what your NH was capable of even in the prolonged engagements and why they had little chance. I want to see fights where it is really do or die when you make a mistake and get scrammed. The disparity in pilot skill just seemed ridiculous with people screwing up simple stuff against you. Small criticisms in a solid video, had I not already watched Witchcraft I wouldn't bother mentioning them. You've just set the bar high for yourself tbh

The difference is not that the other songs are bad, but that you cut Who want to live forever after the intro, which was simply not nice :(
As for the comment - it indeed is a question of raised expectations. The Rocket Wizardry was something truly original, I think one out of only two original pvp-themed works that I have seen on these forums, the other being the Clarion Call-movies. Pretty much everything else is well-known principles, repeated and slightly adjusted to the one employing them. Some times with more isk or skill than other times, but in principle, it's tanking ships or kiting ships or or or...
So, when you came along and gave an obviously underrated ship a completely novel fitting and used it in a style that few people would have thought of, the audience was blown away. Later, in the Witchcraft, you stretched what the ship could do.
Now people enter the thread and have rather specific expectations, which did not get disappointed. There is a difference between "getting what you expect" and "being blown away", so some people are after all somewhat disappointed (those who hoped to be blown away once more). Then they think "could I do this - Probably no, I'd die horribly, it really is epic pvp, just not much better than what he has shown before" and leave the comments you complained about. That you show only one style of pvp does make the "whoa"-effect get blunt. Additionally, you have the bad luck that Endless Subversion published a movie dedicated to the same ships first.
Time for a new epic idea, man. I know I'm racking my brain, but nothing feasible will show up :(
Btw, expectations have raised considerably all over the place. Do you remember the old Farjung movies? They used to be the be-all and end-all of pvp movies afaik, and if you watch them today... well, half of the fights are 1v1 ratterganks, and the better fights are not really that impressive by today's standards either. Heat, rigs, combat and fleet boosters allow you to take on a lot heavier odds than what he did back then, and today, he'd get flamed hardcore for the ratter ganks.

You'd only really risk being accused of noob bashing nowadays, although with those numbers...  Actually, this video nicely illustrates why people tend to blob up - if they don't, they'll really get owned in miserable ways over and over again.
I don't really agree with one of the above posters about including counter-fit fights, those are really boring due to their one-sidedness, imo.

In a lot of ways I think that surpassed your previous work (and thats a lot to ask for). The fights were enjoyable and many of them tense, the mix between the Tengu and Nighthawk action was very good. The editing was great and the music fit nicely.
What really made it stand out was the sense of humor you placed in it. I laughed a lot when you "fixed" the tempest icon

As for average skill - average skill of eve player is actually very low. It is hard to find even just reasonably competent pvpers, and once you do and engage those against odds under assumption they are average you usually end up dead. Actually opening of the movie is an excellent example of what happens when you underestimate people and tbh it looks kinda stupid compared to all those fights later that had the other side use multiple falcons, rapiers, logistics, battleships, much larger numerical advantage and what not and I honestly wouldn't include it myself since he ends up losing a 1b nighthawk to 2 hurricanes that cost 50-60 mil total together. But hey this way I can see myself on tv. lol
It's next to impossible to come on top of a fight against people who know what they are doing when outnumbered, most you can get is usually killing the least tanked one and gtfoing, if you're lucky. That's unless you're flying a much more powerful ship, like a faction bs or something of that sort. So while I agree with the argument that the movie shows very low skill of the opposition, I'd say it's very much normal and not something worth complaining about. I certainly saw much heavier idiotism than you can see here.
What I DO dislike is the non stop kiting, it gets boring after a while and in this case it lasts for half an hour. But this is personal perference, I simply like web range stuff more.

I left a 2 word comment, and I really enjoyed the movie. The editing, piloting, music and fights were all great in my opinion, the reason why I didn't critique it more, or comment on it more is because my feedback is more or less the same from the two previous videos.
When I first saw your first movie, it was very new and exciting, Seeing "Nighthawk" in the movie description, downloading it, and just being amazed at how well you piloted a ship that is largely underestimated, and underated, It was the first time I had ever seen a Nighthawk flown well, and in such a manner, my mind was blown, and I think I rewatched it several times over, and recommended it to all my corp mates and friends just how amazing it was.
The second movie was the same stuff, only you pushed it further, and I loved you using everything at your disposal, the Blackbird killing, killmail whoring, and scorpion tackled by a pos mod killed by Friend or Foe Missiles, was amazing. I don't think I've been so glued to the screen watching an eve video in a long time, staring at overview.
This movie was cool, I really enjoyed it. I came in knowing what I wanted, and I got everything I expected, it was great. I wasn't really suprised by anything though, I knew what to expect, and got just that, which is mostly why I left a 2 word comment. It felt like an expansion to a great game, rather than a new game, is sort of what I'm trying to say. The Tengu stuff was really enjoyable, but it mostly flies like a Faster, harder to jam, mini Nighthawk, rather than anything super new.
I'd certainly love and enjoy another Nighthawk movie, it's just not ground breaking like your first movie was. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. You could always try throwing in some things such as a HML Sacrilege, HML Osprey Navy Issue (lol), HML Rook and other cool underused things which don't normally get any screen-time.
Buy anyway, don't worry too much about the lack of comment, as I said, I think its mostly because we know what to expect coming into this thread, although we all still really enjoy your movies.

that's the nature of making an entertaining pvp video. even Fights against competent people are often just as exciting to be a part of but end up being much less fun to watch than stomping 20 falcon spamming ****** blobbers.

With regard to the novelty of the video, I think Wizardry really set you apart from the crowd and the other two served mostly to reinforce that - as you say yourself, you are more or less using the same type of ship in mostly the same situations. That said, this is by no means boring or trite - as Miriam (I think it was) points out, it takes something new to blow the viewers mind. One could argue that the style of the ship itself makes for fights that are hard to sell to an audience. It is low dps so the footage has to be sped up to keep the movie at a non-insane length and although it is active tanked, you don't end up winning fights at the skin of your teeth with 2% hull less, rather you end up just escaping what is probably a dooming tackle by an Ishkur which is a lot less visceral.
What I would love to know more about is your own reasoning in the fight. When I saw you taking on that group of stealth bombers, I didn't really know if you were going to slaughter them or if the torps would actually do a lot of damage to you (you are using an mwd in a shield CS after all, but maybe I am just giving torps way to much credit) - to get your perspective of the situation going in allows the view to take your place mentally. I don't think nearly enough people do this which is probably because it seems so obvious once you are used to flying the ship.
Personally I try to look at every fight I am going to include in a vid and go "is there anything interesting to say about this fight?" and if there isn't, it's probably not a good idea to include it. Now, I am not going to say that I get fights as epic as anything in this video or your two previous (or the ones before those), but in a way it is like you are showing the same fight - NH/Tengu vs. blob - a lot. Some fights - like the stealth bomber fight - stand out, because something is noticeably different. There is probably a lot of difference in these fights with your more intimate knowledge of them but as an uninformed viewer I can't really tell if there's a difference between one blob in a plex which has a golem a zealot and 2 apocs, and another blob largely consisting of battlecruisers. Sure I might go "well the blob with the apocs probably has better range" but I can't really infer if the blob should have kept shooting the NH or if going for the ishtars drones is really the best course of action. I might be the only one interested in analyzing fights to that degree though.
Ultimately what makes your video stand out to me is the style of flying you employ, your way of editing and the style of music you choose, all of which are a good deal better than average and which place your videos among those I regard as the best that have come out of the community thus far.

Before this movie i've only heard this song before in the Brat movie but i've had the same feeling of 'synch' in this internet spaceships movie as i had 4yrs ago when a russian dude whom i met in the Serpentis 4/10 plex in Pemene told me what is the name of that awesome russian movie - seriously what's with static complexes and russians ????.
In fact the entire audio track is in awesome synch with the action, Fon must have been working on it quite some time. :)
Now ... in regards of originality.
Your first NH movie had the surprise factor. 2nd movie saw the introduction of the Claymore alt and it really refined the tactic.
While not clearly visible, his setup has changed - lows on NH, and his Tengu is actually AB fit ... though it doesn't 'feel' like it.
Yes, the action is still basically the asme, but the setups have been refined even further and this is especially interesting because he doesn't use the oversized AB setup that endless and garmon made popular.
And for the whines who complain about multiboxing, this movie is not about using cost effective setups ... between implants and fittings that damn NH costs 3b isk, not to mention the skirmish alt ... his Tengu is probably even more expensive as he had faction launchers on it.
It is about an andrenaline rush, that you can only get when going 1 vs many and still winning or ideally ... barely winning.

as for the bombers fight, I had no clue how it's going to go either. I entered the system and it was like "wtf are all these 20+ people doing here while the hi-sec gate is totally uncamped?". I used the Loki to trace them down and was quite pleased they were spread all over the pos, which in turn was basically unequipped. Then I got a decent warp-in point and the rest is covered by the movie.
I had no clue whether I could or couldn't tank that much bombers (should they all get at me at once), but I recalled pretty well that there had been a huge theorycrafting at eve-ru.com forums on whether a CNR can take out 20 tech1 frigs and eventually they organized some kind of test engagement @ TQ, but that surely was something artificial. So the fight looked like a great chance to test it in real PvP.
At last but not the least, when you see this kind of odds you usually don't hesitate at all - fights like that one happen once a year at most! And it's always better to die trying than to blame youself later for not trying.

This is a very odd reply from my point of view. Are you saying that the reason you don't comment on your take of the situation is that you didn't have much of a take? Though I would argue that knowing that you have no take on the situation is of value to the viewer.
A small critique of the video editing wise is the stuff right in the end and some of the other effects seem too shortlived, to the point where it is a little confusing. Especially the bit in the very end.

I don't really see a need to explain every detail, unless he does what endless and kil2 have done and creates a commentry vid. The fact you can't tell the difference between fights isn't a fault on his part at all imo and I don't think he should explain each detail as for people that know what's going on this could get annoying.
I think your best bet if you want this info is to ask fon to do a commentry audio like Kil2 and Endless

Almost every single EVE vid I watch is thrown away afterwards, but yours stay put on the HD eating space. Pretty damn rare for me, so you must be doing something right.

I personally use jetAudio, but the problem really isn't dependant on player. Try getting newer drivers, like CCCP. If you already happen to have everything updated, then it's something weird indeed.
