I was doing Lvl 3 "Intercept the Saboteurs" mission earlier and when my shields started to go down I tried to warp out but I couldn't. It said something about natural phenomena or something like that and wouldn't let me warp out.
My question is, was that really what happened or was it one of the NPC's messing me up? Once i came back for my wreck I could warp out without any problems (by that time I killed all the NPC's for sweet revenge of costing me 15m)
I've never had any problems with warping OUT of any deadspace before so just wondering.
Thanks in advance :)

You probably tried to jump from one pocket to another. That's when "nat phenomaena" comes into play usually.

Yeah I was thinking about that too but that's not possible, I've had good 2-3 minutes before hull went and I picked the most distant point I saw so that couldn't be the case, the ship alligned and all just wouldn't jump.

Well there's only a few things that can prevent warping.
Scramblers: but then you see the icon and iirc the message is different. NPC Frigs sometimes scramble you.
Or you were trying to warp to a pocket. Can't think of anything else. You sure you warped to a belt or station or planet?

Yes I'm sure, the distance was like 20 AU away and I clicked it like 20 times everytime it showed me the "natural phenomena" message

I've had this happen a few times, sometimes it seems the overview gets confused about what you're trying to warp to. Next time remember to pick something else in the overview.
I have a bunch of overview tabs, one of them is always loaded with a "pod saver" overview, which contains all celestial objects: sun, planets, moons, gates, belts (and nothing else). Switch to that tab, click something there and warp to it.

Yeah, pretty much anybody who does pvp has a similar overview setting. Mine is called GTFO.

The overview layer is transparent.
If you click on a item in the overview but under that item there is a item on the local grid the system think that you are trying to click on the item on the second layer so, for example, while you were clicking on a distant planet you had a wreck in the second layer and the EVE program thought that you were trying to warp to the wreck.
During a mission, if possible, it is a good practice to align to a celestial object and, when you need to warp out, to select the bracket of the object instead of selecting it from the overview.
If you need to select it from the overview (no brackets, celestial in bad positions, ecc.) if you get that kind of message try selecting a different celestial some position up or down on overview.

I don't know anymore, I know I selected at least 3 different objects on the very bottom of the list (20 AU away + ) and the ship wouldn't jump and I always align to where I'm jumping the minute I start to see I won't make it... oh well it was only a drake
