Originally by: Companion Qube I'd like to see some improvements to the market history, here are a few to start with:
configurable time-span, from 7 days to 5 years manual data pruning (exclude all values above N, below M) configurable automatic data pruning (show everything inside n-sigma from the mean)
-- Oh, and not to be forgotten, three words: Remote Stack All
I think if we can push the good doctor to stand by his promise to make a market db available out of game, then all these features would be granted either by a web UI for accessing this, or by player created services reached through ingame browser.
The exclusion of outliers I seriously agree with, I have been wishing this for years now..
and Remote stack is one of those where I lack hands to facepalm at the lack of it.. In general better remote view to. Just like you can have filters and selections in your overview, why not something similar for assets lists? Show value ranges, show stack value ranges, remote stack ofc, and type filtering. Would also make it so much easier and relevant to remotely create courier contracts or sorting to members in office cases etc..
What's the obsession with the IGB? Why can this not be done on the in game UI? It'd be much faster.
Not the IGB that is the point, its moving the data to a service you can access from a browser. Thus having the market data in a db that you can also access ingame in the client, but that would be some sort of IGB feature. Releasing data for easy analysis if older then 5-7 days is rather important for the markets. The player created alternatives are nice, but say I wanted to write a RL paper on virtual economies I honestly cant trust those.. They arent complete enough.. This argument is ofc not the main one, the reason for granting players access to this information is to allow more complex work on the numbers. Things like elasticityies and population related and political related dependencies etc.. The sky is the limit really once this data is "released"..

I would like to see the ability to add to orders.
Example: I have a buy order for 100 widgets... When my order gets down to 5/100 widgets I'd like to be able to reset it back to 100 widgets or 150 etc., rather than cancel and recreate the order.
Same thing for the other side. I'm selling 50 widgets and accumilate another 25 along the way, I'd like to be able to add the 25 to the origional order rather than wait for it to sell out or cancel and relist.

lotta griping in thread, so didn't read it all.
did we get the 'actually implement a collateralized loan' feature?
Would work like the current loan, except collateral is an item (like a WTB order).
...wanna really get fancy, include two ISK fields: initial exchange final exchange
lets interest be accrued basically.
This by itself would significantly improve eve capital market liquidty.
