My problem is that I have trained myself into Amarr ships and have near maxed gunnery skills. The thing is im at -8 with Amarr so I dont get any Amarr missions in which case my Paladin training was for naught. What would be the next best ship for maxing out level 4's in Gallente/Minnie space? (I dont want Caldari as I dont have any shield/missile skills nor do I care for Caldari ships) I dont hear much of the Vagur or Kronos for PvE, they any good, would I be better off with a T3 or command ship?

Vargur is pretty epic for missioning, but you'd need Minnie BS5, Shield skills to 5 and Large Autocannon Spec 4 as well. This will take you a few months to get.

do you also have standings with Khanid or Ammatar below -5? you could use their space and any agent there.

Paladin training is never for naught.... Amarr BS-V is a good and very nice skill to have

But you should Try a Golem or CNR for lvl4's and reconsider.

Commandship/tech3 surely FTW, plus this skill is not a waste. If e.g. you're never planning on really flying minimatar etc. You'd better train for command ships or techIII, those kick ass for missioning.

If you don't want to train missiles or shield so an armour tanked Macha could be the best ship for you.

Can't you run missions with a corp/fleet that's able to draw Amarr ones, and quickly (at least to start with, right?) reverse that standing? Then pull your own missions? |

I fly the Kronos and have to say it's much faster then missioning in a Dominix or Megahtron and tanks as good as the Hyperion. In missions against factions such as Angels or Damsel In Distress, it's pretty good with blasters. With rails, it is a bit slower.

Use your Paladin in Gallente space anyway, because Serps are weak to thermal, your second damage type. Just make sure your kin/therm tank is decent. You'll probably want to decline the occasional Angel mission.

You can brute force your way through Angel missions. Yes, your dps won't be brilliant, but this is somewhat offset by the fact that Angels love coming into multifrequency range, and tend to have a comparatively large bounty attached.

The paladin is fine for brute forcing angel/serp missions. That said, check out ammatar and khanid. It's very unlikely you can't mission for them and through derived standings, you can recover amarr standing. I actually did that way back in my early days of playing. I switched to amarr ships and wanted to fly in amarr space, so I did my recovery with ammatar mandate. Crap LP store but it didn't take too long. Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

You can always do level 1 missions for any corp. The trick is to find a corp that gives Amarr standing, but have agents outside Amarr space so you don't get shot at.
The best place to look is in the opposing faction space, in this case Minmatar space. For example, several Amarr corps have agents in Metropolis.
Takes effort to climb back out, but it is doable.

I actually burn through angel missions faster with my Paladin than I do against Blood/Sansha. Likewise gurista or serpentis... the Paladin's output is so beastly it can brute force through pretty much any faction.
Just make sure you have a very good tank or logi... some missions still put out a ton of DPS and the Pally's local repair armor tank is not quite as worthy as a Golem or expensively fit passive Drake. --- Dreamer: My dream, Freddy! my alt runs gallente missions in a paladin (serps/angels and some gurista.)
the dps with tachs it puts out is enough to melt stuff fast :) ---------------------------------- Fighting for something
