Fellow New Edians!
With NBSI being the obvious strong force in New Eden, spreading it's policy of decay and cold "survival of the fittest" mentality, it's time that the NRDS groups start cooperating.
The NRDS Coalition [NCA] is formed as a means for all serious NRDS groups of the entire New Eden galaxy to come together, get to know each other, share intel, cooperate, and fight the piracy that is NBSI.
Alliances, corps and even solo characters are welcome into the NRDS Coalition. The only requirements for membership are that the entity practises Universal NRDS and is opposed to piracy and similar acts of criminality.
Currently the NRDS Coalition consists of two in-game channels, one for regular communication, and one for sharing intel of large fleet movements etc. The next upcoming step is a common forum.
If you are interested in joining the fight against the NBSI hordes, or just have further inquiries, do not hesitate to join the NRDS Coalition Diplomatic Channel "DIPLO-NCA", or contact Codo Yagari of the Yulai Guard directly.

So, if you don't follow the 'Not Red Don't Shoot' policy, you are a pirate? I have seen many alliances throw together under this idea and many alliances have alot of unnecessary reds due to this simplistic idea. Then the alliance crumbles and falls due to the constant bending of this idea to try to claim space. Initiating a war, performing espionage upon their 'enemy' and pulling other acts of criminal activity in which they try to sanction under an order of war. Now, that doesn't sound to different from shooting neutrals to me.

Agreed. NBSI isn't piracy or survival of the fittest. It's: "I don't care if your white, black, tan or redskinned, gtfo of my house without permission."
Also, often, he who throws the first punch generally has the best advantage. That's white NBSI is so popular. Either prove your allegiance to us to gain access to our areas or don't.
Although, I'm not knocking the idea of an NRDS coalition. I do support this.

Well, only problem is that claiming an entire solarsystem for yourself and keeping it NBSI is like one person claiming the whole earth for himself. Its just too much. Noone should be able to claim a solarsystem and call it "ours" and then make it so that others are not permitted there. What if everyone did that? Then there would be no more free space left at all.
A quote from a wellknown movie: "People arguing over who owns the land is like 2 fleas arguing over who owns the dog they sit on."
Its just about keeping things in proper perspective. Anyone practising a general NBSI policy has lost that. |

Just an chat Coalition with so Wide spread it will be disaster as it is impossible to keep at track everyone and mark red on need. Just an mail list night mare and much work to person who runs this. Pluss in coalition there is many corporations / players who has marked some one red but example to some people they are blue.

Ive been in 0.0 sec the last few years. I respect if people dont want others to dock in their station, if that is how they want to be, but to claim an intire solarsystem and then saying noone else can be in it, unless we permit you, that's madness.
And yes, Providence was a great example for us all of what can be achieved. Those that do not believe NRDS in 0.0 sec is possible should look at this great example statured by CVA which lasted for more than 3 years. And the fight still goes. Many of us still fight for the freedom of Providence yet.

Alliances are good. However, it limits you, since you cannot accept already existing alliances into one group without them losing their identity. Multiple strong and old alliances in one coalition is a very powerful thing. Its not really a nightmare, what is needed is for people to lose up a bit and start working together in a relaxed way. I am confident that anything is possible, if the goal is worthy enough, if the vision is clear, and the will persists. Being spread out is not a problem, when we start working together this will even be a benefit, and we will grow in strength. Nothing is impossible.

Nice Idea. You might want to check out Electus Matari and the coalition they've formed. ... sorta the same idea.
Oh and our alliance is NRDS and we operate in lowsec just fine (although we do make alowances for known pirate corps who may not be strictly red)

interesting idea. Personally I am more familiar with NBSI, so not exactly sure how NRDS would work. Seems too much work to keep appropriate entities updated. But will keep an eye

We are friends to the Minmitar, and have fault along side many of their pilots struggling to regain their home worlds from the tyranny of the Amarr Empire. Dont think we have huge issues lately with the others.
As far as NBSI groups in provi, well some of those groups are more honorable that the current SoV owners of provi. The "Big Hat" council has back stabbed more than one group of people it had been friends with and have tried to take our system because we refused to bow to them. I was some NBSI groups that actually helped defend the free port we established there. Sometimes the world isn't black and white.

ok...I'm an old friend of yours Codo, and you know where I am in this game now, Yes I'm a full red baddy pie. Now from what I've learned from this game is that big ideas take time and movements. I admire your role-playing style and your will to develop an admirable idea in the eyes of the storyline of the game. How ever, Doing so much so fast can lead to being overwhelmed. How I mean is, there are way to many pirate corporations out there let alone NBSI alliances. I strongly recommend having a big alliance back u in your idea, yes I'm aware that goes against your standards and u won't believe in it. But simple corporations, mercs will take u out before u have a chance to put it into effect without the backing of an established alliance, with a capital fleet.
finding that alliance is not my job its yours. I'm not saying your idea is impossible, but it is highly improbable due to teh sheer forces u have against u.
hell, start small take agreements with other corps to help defend against the small piracy that exists, either way it helps New eden right?...
your corp is 50+ strong from what I looked at, I'm sure u can help another corp in need of "guards" from pirates....

To be perfectly honest there is nothing roleplaying about it, since the ideals I am speaking of here is very similar to what I pursue in real life as well. Dear Raelaem, during several occasions after you leaving my corporation you have come back to me trying to give advise on what course of action I should take to be successful in these NRDS ambitions. Well, let me tell you first of all, that the NRDS Coalition, despite being in an infant stage, and not doing very much together, has almost 20 membership organizations, alliances and corps. Things are going quite well on that front thankyou. Also, the Yulai Guard, my corporation, flies with a multitude of different NRDS alliances and corps on a daily basis, so we are certainly not without friends.
Now, if I may give YOU an advise: Stop playing around as a pirate and come back to the right side of things. Dont be mistaken in thinking that just because this is a game, your actions have no consequence.

I have flown beside Codo, his corp, and other members of the NRDS coalition; it may be small but there is a lot of promise and room to grow.

Your post caught my attention. Nice to see you have kept it alive for so long. I have been thinking about the various ways of playing EVE myself. Fact is, most people play for fun, and a lot of people define fun as satisfying their adenaline addiction (AA). Log in, do some PvP, talk some smack, start some trouble, spread a few rumors, screw over a few new people, use the 'ol pirate alt to gank your "friends" in your corporation and they don't know it was you, laugh a lot, log off and go to the bar and do more of the same... I guess).
Lot's of gamers are adrenaline addicts, nothing wrong with that I suppose. They get most of the attention of course but I don't think the immature types are the majority they would like to have everyone believe. Glad to see a more mature attitude, we (EVE players) need to show more of it.
There is another way to play EVE, as a person who builds instead of destroys, who adds to the game instead of ruining the experience, who is a valuable member of any corporation. NRDS is something like that, or could be, I think.
Strength, Courage, Compassion, Honesty, Intellect, Responsibility.

I, personally am a great admirer of the NRDS coalition and it's objectives... I suppose that's why I like to fly with them. Yes that must be it. Thanks Codo for keeping it alive with such voracity and tenacity. |

My corp, and another corp that might be interested, have the same problem. We aren't doing well at recruiting, so we don't have the people to allow us to run ops on our own.
My corp is interested in piggy-backing with a larger group in order to get into the areas where we might be able to make a difference. We may have talked once before as well.
I've heard that you are very good at what you do. I'll Eve mail you in game as soon as the upgrade is finished.

Love the idea!
I always respected CVA and friends for what they created in Provi back before UK/AAA/Atlas steamrolled the whole thing.
It was some sort of civilized 0.0 with lots of stations and a living market. |

note NBSI is not red to NRDS
alliance not NRDS can be NBSI in their sov O.O
the trouble is when pilot is not in own sov and attack other no hostil pilot = piracy
NRDS is like concord in low and 0.0 NRDS sov). if you re not in you re sov O.O you have not authority to engage hostility or you do piracy then.
if you do piracy in NRDS area, then not you re sov, then you re registered pirate in the NRDS block = KOS (kill on sight)
NRDS intel keep allways log game to give agression frist evidence before set a new KOS status. then it s not 1 leader say you re KOS in NRDS block, but it s you when you start the first agression.
All pilot KOS can ask back to neutral statu and then welcome to NRDS area
if you re alliance is KOS and leader do not wan meet to back neutral, you re corp can left the alliance if not registered KOS too. and if you corp is registered KOS, you can left the corp and join an other corp if you re not registered pilot KOS too
NRDS is a peace ideology, where all unknow pilot is welcome if not hostil and can work together safe. But when a neutral start agression, be sure he s immdiately killed by the NRDS navy anywhere to fast.
NRDS work to help all unknow no hostil pilot wan work safe in low and O.O NRDS sov like providence and domain.
If you enter in my house to kill people, you re a pirate = KOS. if i go to you re house and i kill you re friend i m a pirate = KOS.
If you kill a guy enter in YOUR nbsi sov without permition you re not a pirate, you protect you re sov only. but if you re not in your sov you have no authority to kill any pilot if not hostile to you first.
then NRDS and NBSI are not ennemy, only pilot think own all new eden and say you re not welcome here but have not the sov statu in this system, this guy is a pirate

Well, I have to say I disagree with you here Kormolos.
What right do you have to take space and say "This is mine, and noone can enter". If you are NBSI, and I fly into your space, you are still a pirate. With your mentality, soon all space will be owned by someone, and then I cannot fly anywhere without others shooting me down because they "defend their space". I want to be able to fly free (and fuŠn), but it is not free if it is OK for everyone to shoot me down if I enter "their" space.
Space is free, and everyone can fly everywhere they wish. If others have problem with that (even sov holders) and shoot me down in their space, they are pirates.
Sovereignty means you have given the task to take care of a system, you can govern it and make sure it is run as best as possible. But the space is never "yours", it belongs to all.
