Hi all!
My trusty Razer Diamondback has finally given up the ghost after many years of faithful service, and recent attacks on the left button from PI.. lol..
So I'm in the market for a new one for playing EVE and general use. I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys may have. I don't play much in the way of FPS these days so a high DPI would be nice, but isn't essential.
Thanks guys!

I use a Saitek Gm-3200. It feels very smooth. You can adjust the weight of it with metal blocks that go inside it. On the mouse there are two speed selector buttons. Costs ú25 in UK.

I quite like the Logitech g500 now that the g5's seem to be discontinued. PRAISE THE SCOTTISH FOLD!!

Once converted you will never wish to go back. At least for point-click interfaces. Other forms of gaming will require another mouse on standby - I have a cheap wired optical mouse for my CS needs.

I just bought a Cyber Snipa Intelliscope a couple of days ago. Two DPI settings (1000/2400), six buttons and a well laid out comfy ambidextrous shape, for around ú25. I'm happy with it, but I could do without the led's.
I've got through several logitech mice over the years, but they no longer seem to have a decent left-handed/ambidextrous mouse with plenty of buttons in their line-up .

+1 for the G500. It replaced my broken G5, and I like the G500 more. -------------------

Well seeing as you've already used Razer, I'd recommend the Razer Deathadder, I own one and I'm certainly impress with the feel, precision and speed of the mouse, but I guess it really depends on what types of games you play. Other than eve of course.

I have two MX518s, have had them for years and years, they're very nice as long as you don't scratch the silicone too much.

I've been using one of (don't laugh!) these for about 8 years now and not had a single issue, I do play FPS games with it too :) ===================================== It smells of spoon! ===================================== |

It has everything a ú50 mouse has, at slightly lower max DPI (3600 compared to 5000~ on some mice) with great drivers, good mold and customisable weight and it, itself clocks in at just over ú20 in most places i've seen it. And c'mon, as if "Razer Deathadder/Barracuda" sounds any better. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

I actually went with this! I compared the different suggestions and read various reviews on each. This seemed the best choice. Also it had pretty flames! (I'm so easily pleased lol)
Besides, if I can't trust a fellow Amarrian then who can I trust? Waiting for the postman to arrive with it later!

Just a tip; The mouse uses "Scroll Lock" as the toggle for profile switching, and i have found no way to change this. By default it can be loaded with two profiles, however i have both of mine the same in case i clip scroll lock at some point without noticing.
Also, if you use custom DPI settings (Or intend to disable any of the six presets) you'll want to do it like this, say for two settings at 800 and 3600 DPI- Linky and not This. In the latter case it would use the disabled 900 as the second setting.
Bar from that, enjoy your new mouse. Feel free to mail me with any questions ingame. I've had mine for a good 8-9 months now and it's still solid _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008
