Ahoy! I hope you guys can help me a little bit. I'd like to try some mission running for a pirate faction. I thought about the Angel Cartel, as they have the most agents and a epic mission arc.
But I'd like to see your point of view on:
1) Is the Angel Cartel a good faction or should I try running with another pirate stronghold? What would be your recommendation?
2) When I have enough standing with the pirate faction, will the NPC pirate ships in asteroid belts stop shooting at me and ally against a 'ratter'?
3) Can I 'join' the pirates NPC corporations? Should I stick with the one I'm currently in or should I create my own corp?
4) Any resources or guides out there? The most are about piracy itself not mission running for pirates. The former may come eventually without saying YARRRR!!

1) Yeah, Machs/Cynabals/Dramiels are popular so should convert well, however I haven't checked and you probably should.
2) No. But cool idea.
3) No. Join a corp that is in the region but they are probably a PvP corp.
4) Not really, it's mission running like any other mission running except missions are anti-Empire and anti-DED, so say good bye to your empire standings. Also they are really risky if you don't know how to survive in 0.0 and a single cloaky*** can ruin your day.

not quiet true... as a ex angel cartel mission runner. you fight only minmatar and galante empires. you will end up hated by them eventually. how ever you stand to make a fair bit of isk reselling tags to empire dwellers whom need them the most. you will also suffer concord hots bot sec and standing when you do blockade which is vs DED.
my suggestion is if you DO run them goto g-0q86

It's either Angel or Guristas since they both have Epic Arcs. I wouldn't go for any of the others, except maybe Thukker next. Reason is that they all have Cosmos Agents.
You already know about the Pirate Epic Arcs, you can easily run that to help gain standings since each one has 3 different starting agents (1 Pirate, 2 Empire). You only need +4.80 corp or faction standing to access the Pirate Epic Arcs.

As for the COSMOS Pirate agents, best to consider doing those after the Pirate Epic Arc before you ruin your Empire standings since those agents are located in Empire space.

It's probably a good idea to train up 'Criminal Connections' as well as the other social skills before starting out so you can receive max rewards and standings.

Last there's also all the regular Pirate Agents level 1 quality 0 and lower that are available to everyone.

Good luck to you.
