Will something be done about these coolant prices anytime soon? I'm not sure what the point of Tyrannis was if suddenly it's costing me a ton more to run a large pos.

This post won't accomplish anything I know, but I can't believe its costing me nearly 300 million isk for only 5 weeks of fuel and that doesn't even include robotics and mechanical parts which I am totally not including because I'm pretending that "minerals I mine are free".

Perhaps farming coolant is smarter then mech parts?

Eh? How does that change the fact that fuel prices are still costing me nearly 300 million a month.
Whether I make it myself or buy it it still costs me 300 million...

What I said in the first post...
Coolant prices suck and this post does nothing but state my frustration with said sucky prices.
It's not like the OP is overly complicated.

Coolant prices don't suck. In fact they are really good right now. I am making a ton of Isk. off of it.

I'm pretty sure CCP won't be doing anything about it any time soon, and I have a feeling fuel costs were not a major concern as far as Tyrannis goes.

Nothing is gonna be done about it.
Its a player market so prices fluctuate and the fact we have more control now is better. Live with it. If your pos is no longer profitable to run then look at something else.

If you really want to fix it go over to the Science and Industry forum and make a manipulation post about how ridiculously easy and profitable making PI coolant is.

Every time people ask about how to make ISK I point them at the Making ISK guide. Datacores are still over 300k each.

They're intentionally making Fuel price soar so high so youll stay more on your offices/beauty parlors inside stations when Incarna hits and forget about your Pos.

The more items ccp injects into the game there are two results..
1. The added complexity add gameplay, but also creates a rather big timesink. Thus everything becomes a little bit harder, unless these things can in part or fully be automated. "Time is money friend" as goblins say in wow.
2. When more items are injected into the scc market the barrier to trade these are raised. This is because less traders can be in markets. Their diversification option is reduced. When competition is reduced prices go up.
I have tried for several years to warn about this, and ask players to support that ccp remove the order and contracts limitation. It is exactly for the above reason. The "Old money" already have the financial power to corner markets, but the order and contract limitation makes this barrier and the resulting oligopoly(cartel like monopolies) even larger.
Until players figure this out its just going to get worse every time a new range of items are added to the game..
QED.

As a coolant manufacturer, I thank you. Your sacrifice has allowed me to make a good sum of Isk without doing much work at all.

We can together make a conclusion, that reducting POS costs wasn't the point of this expansion |
