Back in June there was a group of pilots experimenting with closing wormholes using ECM and , I am not sure about this, Warp Disruption Generator I (WDG). I forgot the name of the project (something to do with Sansha creating Wormholes in Intaki, Isanamo and other high sec areas) and have hunted forums and wiki for a couple of hours now without luck. I know the tried and true way is to just send through the biggest ships possible, but stealth closing would be preferable.
So far, spent an hour using the WDG with Focus Warp Disruption script and no change seen on the Show Info message.

Closing a wormhole, you need mass.
Check here the mass of the wormhole
armor plates, micro warp drive increases your mass.
You will notice the WH shrink when enough mass went trough. Make sure to fit a probe launcher, just incase you mis calculated and the WH collapses when you ra on the wrong side.

Posting in epic thread. Failing at closing a wormhole while leaving yourself very vulnerable. You should try doing it with a carrier or freighter next time.

In the past, when we lived in a Class 3 WH we used a plated Rokh. It had to jump 13 times forward and back before the WH closed on the right side. Thats way we more or less controlled in what space we wanted the WH to open.

If you want to close a wormhole without sending a ship through it, what you need to do is get some stealth bombers and load scorch bombs and then go to 30km from wh while aligned to the wormhole and launch the scorch bombs all at the same time. Four or five hitting the wormhole in quick succession will cause the wormhole to collapse. The Goons were doing it all the time. They call it scorching the hole.

Dag,
Your information is correct - Sansha generated holes have been successfully closed with a massive application of ECM to them (I don't recall any warp disruption being involved).
However this only applied to the special Sansha generated wormholes (which you cannot jump through) - for your regular run-of-the-mill wormhole you need to exceed its mass limit to close it. It's the only known way.

Interesting approach Baillif, thanks for passing that on. I wonder if other types of bombs would work, but I assume more than one bomber would be needed.

Cyniac, I guess I could try and run the HIC like an Onyx through the wormhole with the WDG turned on, but there is no way to judge how much affect it is doing. I guess it just comes down to bubbling WH to slow down marauders.
Thank you both for your insights and advice, will check back in if I come up with other "unknown" ways.

The problem with that approach is that you have to be on the opposite side of the wormhole you want to close. This means you have to burn to the wormhole entrance before the bombs detonate and collapse it, or else you'll be trapped. Once you launch your bombs, make sure you activate your microwarp drives and burn to the entrance and jump before the bombs explode.

HIC has it uses for closing WH¦s but using ONLY onyx to close it running field generator everytime u run thru... well gl. Might wanna take closer look on attributes tab of the generator before starting.

theirs only two real ways to really close a worm whole.
1)use ORCA
2)use BATTLE SHIP

This is a fantastic idea, I recommend very much.
