Edited by: Red Wyrm on 30/08/2010 20:38:51 Been trying to find out what the security status loss for a podkill in highsec is but cant seem to find it anywhere. I had podkilled someone in i think it was .9 security and took a 37.5% hit, is that normal or is that a bit high?
also yes the person i podkilled deserved it, and the loss of the ship was acceptable but i personally thought the hit was too high, maybe it isnt... anyone?

Hits are not percentages of your sec status just a set value.
Why do you care about sec status annyway? You are obviously not a pirate. --------------------------------------------------- THE BIG BANG: First there was nothing, Then it exploded. |

nah not a pirate at all, but i been forced into lower security space.
all the same is a hit of 3.98 sec status too much? because after my shenanigans i saw my security status to be -3.99

It scales on several factors, the system security level (i.e. 1.0, 0.9, 0.8) where the pod killing took place, possibly the gap between the victim and the perpetrator, and if the perp was higher in sec status or lower in sec status than the victim (I think this is the case, but I could be wrong on these last two).

Funny. The article also says "In addition, the highly requested feature of removal of insurance in CONCORD related events will be implemented in the near future." CCP Fear | 2008.08.06

I think the biggest hit I've taken was around a 40% change, happened to be from smartbombing a pod in jita
