EVE Online Tyrannis 1.0.5 deployment has been completed. Please use this thread to keep us aware of any issues that you experience on Tranquility. The EVE Online developers will be monitoring this thread to check for any reported issues, and we will provide updates here when possible.
Please be sure to note which client you are using (Windows or Mac) if you believe the issue is client-specific.

When I tried to start my old client after DT I got an error message that I had 20+ corrupt files before it even tried even load the window. This was working fine yesterday so not a corrupt install. However after running the repair.exe file it got solved and the latest patch was installed as well as part of the repair.

API Related Issue:
The /corp/Standings.xml.aspx API does not appear to be updating correctly. Standings changes made over a day ago have yet to be propogated into the API. I had hoped that the server going down for patch would resolve this but still Standings API data is over 24 hours out of date.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Opening eve using Steam. It checks for status for about 5 minutes and returns with status unknown. 10 minutes later I finally see status ok. However when I try to log in, it says something about the client not able to "handshake" with the server????

On one of my computer, where I reinstalled EVE to another path some time ago, the recent patch won't patch properly. It looks like the patcher tries to patch the old eve installation which now is nothing more but an empty directory. Doing so the patcher consumes 100% cpu time on one core and can't be killed by the taskmanager or a windows shutdown (had to push the reset button). This happens both with autopatcher and manually downloading the patch. Tyrannis 1.0.4 patch worked fine btw.
Guess I have to copy an already patched client from another computer.

Since downloading this patch i can log in, gets to the character selection screen but no pic comes up and no Icon to enter the game it just sits there

Also why the hell is this a patch at all? Fixing blinky lights on limited hardware?? IMHO not worthy of a hotfix description

After patching my Eve client crashes during session changes ( undocking from stations or jumping to another system ) Im using Win XP, and never had this issue before Tyrnnis 1.0.4 patch. CCP i'm starting to worry cuz every patch u make makes this game more and more buggy than before. Maybe its best for us all to you stop making patches ( or bug packages )that makes things worse than before

Just checked before I patch and there is a python27.dll in \CCP\EVE\bin folder. No python25 anywhere I can see.

And it's the same after the patch, just the file date has changed slightly, but the size is the same. Looks like you might have the wrong version of python installed if you have 2.5 (python25.dll).

Had NO problems with Tyrannis 1.0.4
Today launched eve expecting it to download the new patch 1.0.5... -- Error message: "The application EVE Online can not be opened -1712)
ok no worries I'll down load the patch and install it: -- Error message "you can not apply this patch on this version of the application"
re-verified I downloaded the right one and re-downloaded it.... same error message
Ok I'll download the full program and try... 20 mins later ... download complete --Error message " the following disk image couldn't be opened "eve-premium_004474 error -4960"
Hmmm... I see a note about using Mac terminal to download the program... 20 mins later... download complete

using: MAC OS X 10.6.4 Processor 2 x 3GHz Dual-core Intel Xeon
no idea what to try next...
so this patch was to fix hardware I don't own ... and now I can't play ... nice

i know its nothing compaired to the other problems people are having but the ore hold on the orca is broken and you can over fill it at the moment. got it up to 62K before i stopped for fear of losing the extra.

Since I have updated I have had numerous issues with the mouse. What happens is that the mouse can still 'move' (as in the graphic still moves), but it will not register it moving, yet will still register left and right clicks. The keyboard still responds in every manner attempted.
This happens in both Windowed and Full Screen modes.
I am running the Mac client.

i cant update the client because during the update it says "Eve online Updater has encountered a problem and needs to close"
downloading and installing goes well, but when it gets to applying the patch it hangs while processing resui.stuff, then gives the error

"CRC failed in eveonline_177290.7z The file "???" header is corrupt"
I get that when trying to use the offline installer.
"Unable to run DNA"; "Download failed: connecting to host"
I get that when trying to torrent the new install.
"There was a temporary error downloading the required files. A connection with the server could not be established."
I get that when I try to use the online installer.
I've already uninstalled the old version of eve because all I kept getting was "server status incompatible (protocol)" When I would try to log in.
Now, my API key hasn't been working in anything for a week, and I've tolerated it. The in-game browser hasn't worked, and I've tolerated that as well. This is the final straw. I've even went so far as to disable my firewall and check available ports, but to no avail. The problem is not on my side.
FIX YOUR DAMN GAME, CCP. PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR A SERVICE THEY CAN'T USE.

For those that crashing out at entering the game, try throttling your CPU or using a slower computer.

next ??? how do i get a refund to my charge card for 2 months of time? i reupped on the 8th of aug and as far as i can tell im not going to be playing this game anytime soon. so i need to get a refund on 2 of the 3 months i payed for if you guys fix the game before it runs out i will reup at that time. i just used a partitioned part of my drive, added a second windows installation with norton endpoint protection, graphic drivers and directx and it works.
but to be honest thats not the point.
i shouldn¦t have had to do this to be able to access a game that was working fine before 1.04 patch on my normal windows installtion.
it should have been rolled back so everyone could access the game

After installing the patch earlier today i logged in and found that i had items missing that a corp mate had contracted to me just a few days ago. I cant find the contract at all in the My contract section under outstanding, finished, or in progress... I tried looking in every container, every ships cargo hold, every station in my assests tab. nothing anywhere... checked corps hangars and offices and stuff too...
Im missing: 100+ BPC of hammerhead I's @ 1500 runs a bunch of Datacore- Mechanical Engineering 3 Hammerhead I BPO's (one of them had ME done to it.) and an Incognito Data tuner for various researching....
the BPC's are a hassle as it is a few days of doing more copying jobs that i could put into invention instead :( and those datacores take foreve to research with an agent :( not counting the time I'm gonna have to take to research the ME on some BPO for the hammerheads again....
- I never did like Mac's and know they screwed me over with the needing a patch!!! Stoopid Mac's :P

After the patch every time I launch the game I see a black screen with eve's mouse cursor. If i press enter a message appears that the password is wrong. After that apperar the upper and the bottom lines and i can log in, but the center of the screen remains black. In the game I have no music and can't launch the music player. This all happened after i downloaded and installed the 1.0.5 patch

I've fixed my issue with session change crash. If someone have the same problem here is solution: Go to settings menu and clear your cache bufor in graphic settings menu. Im at work now and dont remember names of the menus... Sorry bout that.

It wont patch at all! Logged in, client downloaded new patch, clicked to to continue update process, EVE closes, nothing happens. Tried again but it tells me the same thing. Click ok and nothing happens. Try to download patch manually which was fine, clicked the .exe and it brings up the patch window and then i get an error about not having permissions. Right click .exe and open as admin (Windows Vista) but same thing. Try the cache file, still no good. Try downloading the full build. File downloads, click the .exe, follow prompts then it brings up "status file not found" with a "download manually" option. This happens with both default and custom folder location options. I click the download manually link which doesn't work! Try the repair utility which FAILS with a python error. Game and previous patches all worked fine until this new patch.

I use a Mac.
Since the recent patch I am no longer able to log into the game this message appears ''There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status: An update file for your build number is not available. You will have to update manually. Do you want to go to support page?''
So i went to download the path manually and try update the client but it didn't work, instead i got this message ''You cannot apply this patch on this version of the application. Please re-install''. To be honest manually patching eve for me NEVER EVER worked. I always end up having to re-install the client.
I have tried downloading the client again [Yes the TQ client] and this problem is still occurring.
On top of that i notice that it is trying to connect to the test server for some odd reason.
Please fix this a.s.a.p. My main account will have nothing to train in 4 days, and my Alt has had an inactive queue since the patch.

No login and no training for me either. 1.0.4 I was unable to login and with 1.0.5 I'm still locked out. Occasionally the socket closes while trying to login, sometimes disconnects after selecting a character, and just to tease me I can occasionally get to the hangar but crash before loading any windows/chat/items

Downloaded and installed patch without a hitch.
Immediately crashed upon first launch attempt giving error message "x86_36" or something similar. Game crashed when switching systems (crashed immediately after jumping, prior to loading next system) Game crashed when logging out giving same mysterious "x86_36" error message.
Unfortunately I didn't write down the exact error message so my numbers could be wrong. I'll be sure and edit/update post if it gives same error again.
-Also going to try clearing the graphics caches as a previous poster suggested.

Your test team should start earning their pay instead of releasing software expecting the paying customers to test it for you.

Oi, the patch was for the people unable to log on for .4 patch. Stop whining, people have been waiting 2 weeks to log in, and now most of them get to play. It is funny though that CCP fixes one set of problems for one set of people, then another set gets powned.

Again the patch was not just to fix some alienware issues, it was for the people unable to log on due to python errors at 0xc0000005. Now it seems that a new set of people cannot log in. Stop being selfish, there were a ton of people that couldnt log in for 2 weeeks, now its time for you to wait. oh, on the other hand, did you read my sig?

On my MacBook Pro the patch is working fairly well, no new issues but one: crashes are happening more often, and in more circumstances. It can crash now at any time, while in warp, while mining, while shooting stuff, but especially when jumping or switching planets for PI. No warning, no error message, just suddenly Im looking at the desktop. Happens about once every hour or so. Some crashes seem to mess up the entire system: I got to restart the computer before Eve will launch, or I got to try and launch Eve 2 or 3 times before it works.
No bug report as I have not found a repeatable case.

It's a great patch!
Now, instead of crashing when selecting a character, you can actually play as long as you don't press the ESC key (in case you'd want to change your settings). Then BAM!
Anyway, why would one change their settings after login in, hum?
/nolightfx or lightfx, no difference.
And of course, we can still check for logs here and there in case the support team pretends to be interested in those issues. There are nowhere to be seen, so no funny reading for your support people.
Great job CCP, no, really! Let's see how much you can break on the next patch. I'm sure your DEV team is having a crash contest between two blog entries bragging about how their PHD allows them to think so deeply about life and their bewolf cluster of Python scripts.
By the way, you haven't refunded the 2 weeks of lost skills. Not talking about actual money that you've pulled out of our accounts while sitting in contemplation of your marvelous QA process.

Since loading the latest two patches I log on to EVE and witing 1 to 5 minutes I loose socket connection. This happens over and over again so that I cannot play. Everything was fine before that. I just got back from vacation Monday and that is when the problems began after downloading the patches. I am running Windows XP on an Acer TravelMate Laptop. Didn't have this problem previously. How can this be fixed. Cause I cannot play atm.

That is setup in the launch icon, or command line, not the install. Any Eve install can be used to connect to Singularity, providing the versions match.
Check your launch icon properties and remove the /server part.

I remember using this page to try get my SISi server running. Yes i added that /server there too. BUT that was before i deleted the client about 8 times after this stupid patch to correct this weird problem. The point is reinstalling the client should bring the file back to default. it isn't happening though. There is no /server blah blah blah here in my plist file and for some gay reason it still tries to connect to the damn test server....
Sorry if i sound negative towards you but i'm not trying to be. I just hate when things don't make sense...

Since last nights Jita stress test, performance for me has deteriorated. Up until now I have been dual boxing quite nicely since 1.0.5, but tonight has been dire. Sometimes >1 min to complete jumps in empty hisec empire, and one d/c so far (which was reconnected ok). I am going to assume this is a testing related issue due to the timing, and hope you guys are on the ball. Asked in local and had others seeing similar "lag" events at gate jumps etc.
Will have to run single machine and hope thats ok for now.

Hello,
I'm Running a Mac and Since the last 2 or 3 patches since today I have not been able to use my in-game browser. When ever I click the BROWSER Tab it says, Error loading requested URL Error Code : -2 . And when I access a web page the text does not seem to stay in position and moves when I scroll. Please if you can fix this I would be more then appreciative.

I can't activate any modules, or acquire a target lock. They're NPC rats, so its not through jamming.

Are we going to get a reply from you guys letting us know if you have spotted the problem or not? I am still not able to log in. It has almost been 3 weeks, at least reply.

I just got back in to EVE after my job kept me away for a while, I'm noticing increased lag as the others here noted.
My problem is with the log in. I played the game for several hours yesterday and during a lengthy jump across the Crux, the game crashed. I have not been able to log in since. The login section is solid black, but I can hear the music and see the mouse pointer. Every once in a failed attempt I can SEE the login, but cannot interact with it.
I have poured thru forums and advice, I have the updated patch according to the start-up settings, updated all drivers, etc. It worked for hours, then suddenly stopped - so I'm frustrated as I just put down a subscription, as everyone else here. What's wrong?

The 2.5 listed at the top of the repair log refers to the Python version that's used by the repair tool itself. It runs on a different version than EVE (which runs Stackless Python 2.7)
hey just wondering why hasent anyone posted the newest verson or repair tool i can really use it right now my client isnt starting so it would help lol
