The rate of breeding has increased exponentially ever since the industrial revolution, we'll be hitting the planet's carrying capacity in about 30 more years (give or take anywhere from 5-20 because we really don't know).
People are stupid, we know that we need to change but we're not going to and it's going to hit us like a sledgehammer we just ran headlong into 
In all likelihood I'll be dead long before this happens due to drinking, smoking, and doing very stupid things on anything that goes fast enough to do something stupid on so I don't care
