SOMEDAY: Stop being a hermit and get back to the social aspect of the game ... ideally a corp located in low sec instead of the previous high and null varieties.

Hah, I'd like to think so. I don't AFK cloak, though, I run around dodging gatecamps and trying to provoke people into trying to catch me. It's probably why I've only brought the original ship out of a couple of them.

This thread is presumptuous: it assumes people actually have fun playing EvE.
In reality, EvE is a second job. The only reason I work in EvE is because in THIS job, I can butt hurt my boss from time to time.
There is no fun in EvE...
j/k - I really loved the fun we had HingTFU to the Hulk gankers. I can't tell you how much we learned and how much fun it was desiging our mining fleet as a corp - peer to peer. And now that we have a very gank-resistant fleet, we will be getting the new barges and exhumers. We have seen some of the best out-of-the-box gank strategies from some of the best gank teams. Not your ordinary loser in a catalyst that can't take us to armor. Adapting elevated our game play.
So, not that I am masochistic, but I kinda hope we get some more gank attempts after the changes. I would love to see the creativity we have been exposed to in the past. Of course, the fun part, is learning to adapt as a corp, peer to peer. Desiging loadouts, rehearsing our action plans, and carrying all that out in the presence of "evil gankers" amongst the roidz. |
