Hi, I just started to fit my caracal for lvl 2 agents. But I dont really know what a good fitting is.
I got the following fitted:
High: 2 Malkuth heavies 3 Malkuth assault lights
Med: 1 medium c5-l emergency shield overload 1 1 medium azeotropic ward salubrity 1 1 small ohm capacitor reserve 1 1 10mn afterburner 1
Low: 2 overdrive injector system 1
The idea behind this setup is to counter missions with 10+ drones, and interceptor/missileboat combinations.
I cant use tech II modules and I also cant use MWD yet. Can some tell me how to improve this setup with a budget limit of 2 mil? Seriously Have I Not Said How I Can Assist Some One You Are Killing Online? |

5x malkuth heavy 1x large shield extender II, 2 hardeners, 1 med sb II 1 ballistic control, 1 cpu II
3k shields, decent resistances if you use the right hardeners, and 5 heavy missiles every 11 secs is always nice

then swap the t2 shield booster for t1 (named better) same for cpu, swap it for named one, maybe you still can fit then

This setup did fine against any lvl3 mission before exodus, dont know how it can cope the lvl3 missions nowdays. -----------------------------------

Caracal isn't meant for tanking, it's a long rage hitter. Target teh rats far out, most rats in lvl 2 missions don't need more then 5 Scourges. You can have them down before they get in range to shoot at you, else you can use the AB to keep range and the Shieldbooster if needed, but you wont need it a lot since you kill the rats before they even get closeby. Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |

When you're a noob among older players and they tell you that something is a good fit but it includes tech 2 things and things that you can't really afford then your best choice is to just replace them with t1 things and maybe some stuff that uses less cap than regular t1 stuff.
A caracal that I'd use for level 2 missions would have:
5x hvy launchers, medium t2 shield booster, tech 2 10mn ab, 2x shield hardeners (EM and Thermal if you don't know what kind of npc's you're fighting) and then an overdrive and a ballistic control.
On the other hand I'd think you needed to use:
4x hvy launchers, 1x assault or standard launcher, medium t1 shield booster, 2x shield hardeners, t1 10mn ab or named and then an overdrive and a co-processor. --------------------------------------
