i'm trying to gain standing with R&D agent for 3-4 diff toons. i have one guy that will do the mission running and my question is... would it be faster for me to get all the toons in a fleet and share the standing between them all? or would it be faster to do them one at a time?
any feed back would be nice

Hold off splitting till you get access to level 3 or 4 missions.
then after that I would suggest adding 1 alt to your fleet at a time once you get those already in it access to lvl 3 R&D agents. and leave them there till they get access to the best agent you want for them.

i have access to the lev 4 with my mission runner.. it's all the other toons have no standing at all and they are the ones that need the boost. which brings me back to my question

Since you already have access to good agents then get as many into the gang at once as possible.
reason being if you have 2 in gang then 1/2 of the standing increase is wasted on the mission runner that already has standings. But, if you have 10 in the gang then only 10% is wasted.

This is how I'd do it too. Get one character up to the best available agent, then boost the rest in as big a fleet as you can manage (invite your alts, invite your friends, invite your friends alts). It seems slow while you're doing it, but the alts get the greater share of the standings gains.
The main alternative is to boost the alts one at a time so you get them talking to the R&D agents sooner. In this case the first alt will be talking to the R&D agent sooner, but the last alt will be talking to the R&D agent much later.
