Edited by: Leovarian Lavitz on 07/09/2010 01:50:55 I present my hypothesis about corporate and alliance PI. CCP announced that PI will deal with sovereignty and that Dust 514 mercenaries will be used to contest ownership of PI.
Since we can fairly easily build right on top of each other at the moment, I present that there will be a corporate command link module which can only be launched for the corporation. This module can only link to corporation modules, and not regular resource modules. It may also link one way to storage modules from corp members and the corp members may route resources to the command module nodes.
Corporation Modules: A| Corporate command Center link module B| Corporate Trade hub C| Corporate Territory Claim Post D| Corporate Storage Facility
Alliance Modules (Can be launched by executor corp) 1| Space Elevator 2| Solar Generator Array (Gives x% bonus to powergrid for all alliance PII on the planet) linked to facility 3| Cloud-computing Cluster (Gives x% bonus to cpu for all alliance PII on planet) linked to facility
These still count toward the launching member's planet count for command centers. Detailed descriptions of each follows:
A| Corporate Command Center Link Module I)Required to build corporation modules II)Flavored in size and planet type as similar command centers III)Only one per corporation is allowed per planet
B| Corporate Trade Hub I)Allows corporation members to route goods at set isk/material rates to other linked and routed facilities/ purchase stored PI materials from other players in the corp. II)cannot store materials, simply acts as a market interface
C| Corporate Territory Claim Post I)Creates a field in which only PINS belonging to corp members may be placed or those with appropriate standings (such as alliance). Multiple may be set up depending on command center quality. II)Standings slider: Any capsuleer/corporation/alliance without required standings set by the owning corp may not withdraw resources nor place or modify existing PI equipment within the territory claim marker's field. III)The owning corporation may place rewards at the Territory claim post to entice mercenaries to assist it when it is at need. The rewards may be varied from isk/kill + mcc defeat to various long term contracts. IV)Must be destroyed/deactivated to enable building in that area by non-standings/corp people (Such as someone who wants your space elevator) V)Takes x hours to construct/online VI)Must be X distance from other TCPs.
D| Corporation Storage Facility I)Corporation storage facility. Stores corporate resources. (Corp can buy/sell from corp members using trade hub)
1| Alliance Space Elevator I)Allows linked and routed goods to stream directly to the orbiting Customs Facility II)Only one may be built per planet III)Conquerable IV)M3/hour upgradeable V)Acts as a TCP (See above)
2| Alliance Solar Generator Array I)Gives an X% bonus to powergrid to all alliance powergrid on the planet 2)Bonus depends on percentage of planet controlled by ally corporations
3| Alliance Cloud Computing Cluster 1)Gives X% bonus to cpu to all alliance cpu on the planet 2)Bonus depends on percentage of planet controlled by ally corporations
That ends my presentation. Any questions or comments you may have you may post them in this thread. I am seeking constructive criticism so I may improve and balance the system. Thanks!

Please provide constructive criticism only. This comment provides no useful details with which it may be made to develop the OP and contribute to making an amazing experience.
Something like, "I think that there should be more than one space elevator" Well, there is only one Customs office, thus only one space elevator.

This is a wonderful way to integrate both of them. Suddenly you can't build where you want because some other corp has their territory claim pin down, haha. Hire some mercs and take care of that shaz.
9/10. What are these % bonuses? 25% max like towers? so if you have 100% of the planet, you get a 25% bonus to cpu and powergrid? |

That works great. Of course there will still need to be some balancing. I was thinking that maybe sov should play a role in being able to build a space elevator. Perhaps you need some sort of Industrial add-on to be able to build space elevators in the system, and a certain sov level?

Thank you FallenAngel89, please assist the effort further by telling your corp-mates the pilots you fly with about this thread. Do you see anything you might change/modify or perhaps you have a few suggestions to add to it?

I am assuming that the Corporate/Alliance level stuff is for 0.0 space. But, thumbs up, I like it. |

Thank you! Please help out the suggestion by giving constructive criticism, which parts of it do you think may be improved/changed or moved around, perhaps something should be added?

Ha?! So, you want another aspect of the game monopolized by big alliances? Easily not supported.

From this I take it that you do not want teamwork to be rewarded. The Corp and alliance level upgrades may only be used in 0.0 space. The base PI will not change. This will create the conflicts which will drive Dust 514 on the macro scale.
Please post constructive comments. Which parts should I change? You can be a one-man alliance, you know?

Alliances are already rewarded enough with moon materials. Boosting alliance based PI production will destroy individual efforts especially with nullsec based hyper-ultra-mega-giga-wtflolzbbq 3,000 men alliances with 10 times more resources on their 0.0 planets than those in high/lowsec?
Constructive enough for you?

I think I understand you, and it makes sense. Since with this they can already prevent people from using their planets cooperatively, there isn't any need for the bonus to PG/CPU. I'll take down those two modules. It balances it in that way IMO.

How do the MCCs interact with each other? Do you need an MCC to enter combat with an enemy MCC? |
