If you think this is all that is required to prevent account theft, your going to be sorely disappointed one day. There's more going on with account theft than CCP is admitting. I know people who are expert at keeping their computers and internet behavior clean and secure that have lost their accounts to hackers. The rest of the responsibility for account security lays at CCP's feet.

The only other scenario/s whereby your account could be compromised is if you set an inadequate level of security for a password or you have a keylogger or trojan placed there (highly highly unlikely) by someone who wanted to specifically rip you off in EVE. Why? Exactly. Chances are the account holder has been negligent and/or violated the EULA somewhere along the line. Only thing to do is file a petition and see if CCP can tell you what the IP address of the person who logged in and cleared you out was. If its Chinese, Russian or Indian I think we have an winner!

As much as I am a fan of corp theft, grief, piracy, and PvP, account theft is serious and I've had to go through that ** before. Believe it or not people DO hack accounts using dictionary attacks and other hacking means and its not always a case of a dumb person giving out their password. My advice would be to simply petition to get the account back then see if CCP can backtrace the IP. Don't know if they'll give you the lost goods back though.

Perhaps you're new in forum-ing, but please don't post personal biographical info, and restrict the mention of even relatively unimportant biographical info (like the wheelchair thing) to yourself, not someone that could easily be identified by looking up your corp. My account was stolen and cleared out on another game I used to play (similar to EVE). I have never ever given my account information out to anyone before. Impossible to guess since it isn't associated to anything in my life, and not a real word. Yet still my account was stolen and I've reviewed every possibility and the only one that fits is someone hacked my account.
