Hi i am still a bit of a n00b and dont fully understand what blueprints are how u get them and how they work! all i know is they are the way u can get 'custom' equipment and ships can sombody plz summerise them for me!

Everything you make in factories requires a blueprint.
Say you wish to make 50,000 Havoc Missiles, you will need the following:
- a rented factory slot
- enough minerals to make your product
- a blueprint of the product (you can re-use blueprints as many times as you like)
You buy blueprints on the market just like everything else. |

You can use "Original" blueprints as many times as you want. Or you can buy copies of blueprints that allow only a limited number of runs.
Only originals can be bought and sold on the market. Copies can only be bought and sold on Escrow.

Hi El'hith, and welcome to Eve and the forums. If you aren't having too much mouse trouble after eating too much over the holidays, you can view another recent post by another player on this very topic by clicking here. For shame for not looking around the forum first to see if there was any information already  Hehe, just kidding, but you'd be surprised at the amount of useful information posted already. Check the above post and follow the links there to more resources.
For reference, "custom" equipment, eg modified versions of standard items are *only* available from the loot that is left behind by NPCs you destroy. Obviously players trade these frequently (on the market, trade channels and escrow available in-game, and the Market forums on this web site) from handfuls to bucketfuls of isk. We manufacturers make the bread and butter of Eve, standard and Tech II ships and equipment, modules and ammunition. It's a lucrative career path and a very important one to the galaxy, from making your fortune to keeping your (future) corp and corp mates supplied with the tools they need to do their jobs. Anyway, get on with reading the post linked to above, and post back any other questions. Welcome again, have fun, and a happy new year.
