Putting aside the fact that one is a t2 cruiser and the other is a command ship. Which of these ships has greater durability in solo 0.0 PvP or has a greater range of viable targets it can kill assuming ( however unlikely) they get into a 1v1. I know Vags are speed demons but, Sleips can be too. They both use the same Medium sized guns. One has a bigger tank the other has better align. Both can use drones  . Ugh Idk which one I'd want more. |

vaga surely will survive more since it have a better GTFO ability.
sleipnir is bit higher on the food chain so it can engage more target but it will die when get blobbed while the vaga could run away

Really? Thought it was 220s for the Vaga and 425s for the Sleip.
Seems pretty straight-forward, really. Command ship both takes and deals more damage but must commit. Vagas take and do less but will have great escape ability.
Pick the one that fits your situation.

i rather fly a covert-istab-stabs strat cruiser if all i wanted to do is escape. Amazing how people choose FOTM nowadays.

As has been said, the vaga is much more likely to be able to disengage which tends to = longevity.

Get both? They fulfill two different roles.
