One of my alts is safer in 0.5 than 1.0 grrr concord. Does not mean that the sec system is dead. What is dead is the intelligence in this thread.
Who would have thunk it?

low sec is not safe... it may be abandoned, but totally not safe
High sec attracts carebears and dishonest pirates (who do not disclose their intentions). Honest pirates camp in low sec. You also get a chance to meet most of their crew before you are scrambled and sunk.
Honest pirates do not steal the wrecks, only the survived modules.

It is interesting been playing for about 4 years, and seeing almost every ( choke point that being safe .5 to .4 and lower ganged by groups)), has been a norm. In the past year I have noticed a more leasure aspect! Its also sooooooooooo, nice to see pilots actually not targeting your butt, 1 second when showing up in local, Pilots now are proveing to be tolerant, and looking for targets rather than being a holes! Im likeing it!

Somehow we MUST get this back on track. If we are exploding newbies at choke points, then it's useless.

yeah, they are kinda flashy and blinky, so you always know it's them.
They often salute you in local and cut it to the point.

It is better to hunt where there are plenty of prey.
Without incentive for the prey to venture into low-sec...
High-sec is the new low-sec.

It's just a proof that highsec is too safe atm. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Honest Pirate:
"Hi I'm a pirate. I'm gonna blow up your ship and take your stuff. If you cant tell a joke that makes me laugh I'm gonna pod you. If you do not wish this to happen either stay the **** away from me or have a 100mil ransom ready for your ship. If I don't like the cut of your gibb I'll take the 100mil ransom and then I'll blow up your ship and pod you anyway."

Pretty much this. If you're safer in 0.4 than 0.5, it's because you're not taking the proper precautions in highsec because you feel you don't have to.
If you feel this, highsec is quite obviously broken. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Perhaps you should stick your head out from the station more ofter and not just playing the ship spin roulette. Also do keep in mind, the the space is vast. There are lowsecs where you can hang out for days without anyone in local.

remove all highsec -> null routes by inserting lowsec entry points.
fix sec hit ( awful mechanic by passed by alts and killing pvp)
double or tripple routes from high sec to null sec so chokes diaf and force people to God forbid, move around rather than sit on a gate and activate smart bombs
not much really needs to be done rather than just shake the snow globe a bit

Khanid, ammatar, some areas of the devoid region. The only reason you ever see anyone there, is because they are either coming from a wormhole, or just passing through. Go check out Rahadalon.

Low-Sec, whatever.
Few days ago I found a 0.2 mission system, 11 level 4 agents, most of them Q20, about 6 jumps from high-sec.
The route was empty, the mission system had 1 FW mission runner in his SB, can't catch that. Fly around looking for FW targets, 45min later I started looking for anything else, 1.5 hours later and I was shooting rats on the gates.
Total of 2.5hrs without coming across a single other ship, I logged.
Obviously a dead timezone, but really, no-one runs missions there? No-one defends or camps that space? No FW pilots? No pirates? lol, whatever ....
