How much DPS is considered do-able for a C3 solo in a Legion? I can get around 400dps w/ 550dps tank w/ 600ms speed tank, HAM's. Yes no?
I was originally thinking about a t2 fit zealot but since I've already got the ol' L4 legion setup...might as well use it :)

Well, you can do C3 in a heavily tanked Drake with about 250 DPS (740 DPS tank), it just takes a lot longer.
You can break RR gangs by flying between them forcing them to move away from you, and out of RR range. Otherwise this is what you need DPS to overcome.
I expect any Legion fit with enough tank would breeze through.

Start from this, lose the resistance plating, and give it a second A-type repper. This will free up another slot for the 3rd heat sink. Tinker with it so the modifications fit, and you'll have a 550 DPS Legion with around 600 tank.

I'm one of those weird Amarr pilots who's got heavy missile skills and no T2 medium lasers :( I've also got no alt w/ probing skills, so I had to fit out the HAM setup (415dps) that has a probe launcher. From what I can tell from other C3 vids (zealot) it's pretty much the same tactics as the heavy L4's - speed + manual flight to keep the BS's from ever landing any real hits and taking out the webbing frigs pronto. Only real disadvantage is the HAM's suck (got a TP) at frig hunting but accel at bc/bs chewing.
I'll give it a shot and see what happens

Hello, I'd like to say I have done a few C3 with my drake. It's pretty easy, though you should be careful with tanking. With about 880DPS TANK it will be okayish, though I would go for 1000dps tank for not sweating. I have managed to overcome Sleepers BS and cruisers with no problem with around 140dps (drones included). I don't have lots of skills, but as you can see, it's not that hard. Let me give you a suggestion, C3 is not that profitable as Lvl 4, in my experience. The time that takes probing, coming to the wh, get to the site, and kill them and salvage, and then come back takes a long time. Not to say the huge risk (I've lost my alt 2 times now, recon and BS that came into the wh and where very polite by not killing the pod =)
As I said, lvl 4 is much more profitable, easy, quick, and not risky.
One more thing, sleepers are way more fun, and the risks are fun too! So it's your choice =)

If you want to farm sleepers, you're best off living in a wormhole with a static to the class you want. You were also severly overtanked and thus lacking dps with that drake. The original legion stats sound fine, though you may be willing to trade some tank for more dps if you have at least 1 other running the sites with you. 475dps tank with an AB does hold up if you fly the right direction. |

DPS isnt really the problem in cl3 wormholes. a 250-300 dps ship is usually enough to kill sites, though it does take a fair bit of time
for most of the combat sites i would recommend an 800 dps tank though. There are a ****load of webbing ships, some sites all ships web, and you cant quickly dispose of a sleeper battleship. this makes speedtank rather risky.
also, be very carefull to do the hacking and archeology sites. there are a few there with tripple battleships, and without speedtank one of those sites puts out more then 1k dps
