Ok hopefully this doesnt breach EULA but meh they'll just block me if it does. I got a response from a petition today and without copy pasting essentially the GM didnt have the proper tools to see if something was working or not and thus had to defer me to guessing if it did work or not and if I thought it didnt to file a bug report.
I cant be mad at the guy because he wasnt given the proper tools to sort it out but shouldnt they be given proper tools? This instance dealt with sentry drones and optimal range bonuses from my skills. If you have sentries there is no way in game to tell if your drones get the bonuses unless you feel they are hitting properly. I cant report in bug reports nor the petition that they need the tools hence my posting here.
tl;dr
gm didnt have proper tools to check if drone skills for optimal worked. I feel they should have them who concurs?

Hello and Good Day to You,
Each GM is assigned a Tech II Shovel when they are hired which allows them to shovel all the crap they are handed by the players. Do they need more then this ?

They should get at least some meta 4 gloves to help with that imo. I like me. 101st Space Marine Force Senior Recruiter |

Things like this are normally hard-coded parts of the game/server mechanics, so its not something that can 'break' for an individual character.
What your asking about is a coding/quality assurance type thing. Game Master is just a snazzy name for customer support, their job is to deal with harassment, lost items, stuck players and other things like this.
What they aren't is developers or Quality assurance, its not their job to 'test' things, if you have some reason to believe something is broken, then you can either report it as a bug with the reasons why in a ticket (which they can forward on to QA I would hope) for review, but you wouldn't get a personal answer, QA departments simply don't have time to do stuff like that.
Or, you could post an explination of why you believe its broken on the test server forum, as this is where bugs get reported for current sisi versions and more likelyhood to get attention and fixed.
Ultimately any/all bugs have severity's, so you must understand that some more mine issues like graphical glitches or such will always take a backseat to things like client crashes, disconnects, lag, etc. --------------------------------------

Sounds like a thing that would take a few days to make, and be used once every few months.
Anyway, find the "base" optimal, show info on the sentry from the market or your hangar. Then pop one out, and show info on it when it's out in space, from your ship. It will update the show info window with your skills, etc. (Like if you fit a gun or load it with certain ammo)

That sounds indeed not like a case for a GM.
Write a bug report. |
