You don't need the tag to complete the mission. You only need it for the optional part.
If you want to complete the mission you just need to complete the 5th area then go back to your agent.

i recently gave a try to the optional gate yesterday for the lvl3 version of pirate extravaganza. Besides meeting a 1.2 mil angel BS, 2x75 cruisers (i think that's what it was) a couple of friggies and a webber, there ain't much fancy stuff here.
There's also a sentry tower III that hits for about 150-200 dmg if you ain't tanked, but it didn't even shoot me or my corpmate until we attacked it. Besides that, we didn't find anything from loot that was worth it. The BS didn't even drop a can, and hell, i even stayed to bring down an angel battlestation structure in there that took ages, to finally get more crap loot that made me think of the words "justified homicide"
Hopefully the lvl4 version will be better. If you ever try make sure to stack your exp resistance, the BS loves getting close and spit juggys at you

If by juggys you mean Juggernauts then that's KIN. EXP would be Bane.
Btw, what Bs was it ?

gah! thanks, Mishi, i always mix those two  yes, it shot bane torps
The BS in question was a Gist domination commander, 1.2 mil. Likes getting close range, and once there it also seems to use autocannons. I used a scorp loaded with bane torps as well, it fell pretty fast in general. The cruisers were gistum angel and gistum angel scout, now i review my gamelogs.

Level 4 DS PE is a nightmare on the 'extra' level. Bring a bunch of BS friends.
The one I used a pod to look at once had 10 Turret Sentry 3's, 4 Citadel launchers, 3 dozen cruiser/frig rats, 5 Battleships, and thats just within 80k of the bouy.
You canNOT do this area with 1 or 2 people. Hell, with that much firepower waiting, I think a dozen BS's would die fairly quickly.

Just did the Angel version of this.
Easy for one BS to do, I had someone come along, but it was easy, 1x 1.5mil BS, 2x Cruiser, 3x Frigates, and 1x Webber.
There was also a LVL3 Sentry, but it was useless

Would that happen to be the DS mission that has all the sentries on the 3rd section, and a pair of 2m BS in the 4th? I heard it has a 6th level but I haven't yet finished the 4th section.

For I have not seen any but the trader one that had they acc gates
I do level 3 and if anouther part on some way I can do it I have the tags just never seen any gates to warp only in the trader with 1st being drones next 2 very easy
