As a 17 years of experience Dungeon Master/Gamemaster narrating stories, I approve of the color palette/rehash.
It gives you a comfort zone and induces you into a train of thought, specially since I'm color blind and most movies look dark to me anyway 
If I want a colorful masterpiece of direction/story/background I have a nice rack of French/Spanish/Colombian/Chilean and Argentinean movies to satisfy my lust for original ideas and use of color without technical backgrounds as most stuff is done in the classical way.
Action/post apocalyptic movies on the other hand, yes, I like 'em this way!
I loved the Mutant Chronicles ... others hated it, but damn if the movie has a lot of nice scenes its ok in my book.
Cant wait to see it! IN 3D!!! Mwhahaha

if you read at the very least, one of the volumes of the graphical novel (or manwha, if you prefer), you would know that all it has in common is the name of both the movie and the main character.

Was a bit out-of-nowhere steampunky in just a few bits (without being even an issue most of the movie) for my taste, but other than that, I liked Mutant Chronicles.

Hmm. Strange year for movies. Inception we already had, but now Scott Pilgrim, Tron Legacy, Sucker Punch and this are still coming (in the Netherlands anyway).
I haven't been looking forward to so many movies in a long time...
