Yeh, I remember when I first came to FW from null. It was amazing how all my ships kept exploding for no good reason. When I found out the special secret rules of pvp in low sec it was amazing how much better I did. Like for instance, I didn't know you could just have one person shooting you at a time! First time that happened I freaked out and called for FB support. Oh well, such is eve. |

See the problem with nulli is they arent used to fighting 1v1... They are used to fighting in gangs of 20 plus.
The problem there is that when nullis gangs come through lowsec there isnt anyone to fight!
We might lose 1 after another while were getting into the swing of things. But wait till we meet one of your gangs head on and we will laugh when you run away :) |

Damn is this statement true.... learned a lot in the first roam going from null to FW.....first thing we learned.... you cant warp on grid even at an acceleration gate. (knew you couldnt inside a plex, but not even around the gate) so we lost a few tacklers burning after WTs only to find out the rest of the fleet couldn't warp on grid
Few other tips and tricks as well have been picked up......
and yes,75% of Nulli is used to mass group warfare (myself included) all in all this will make nulli a much better fighting group in the long run.

In all honesty 1% in a day when there is 28 days of data to influence is probably closer to 28% drop in efficiency as a rough guess.
As for not being used to 1v1? That basically means that you may be fully versed in hitting f1, but 75% of you are complete first rung amateurs when it comes to knowing exactly what you are likely able to engage and what not to engage in single and small numbers.
Thats no different to someone with cookie cutter fit flying out of high sec on their first pvp experience. lol. |

Take fleet warp/cyno bridge and press F1 is what you're talking about? I can count the number of times I've done that in FW on 1 hand. It'll be nice to see how/if you guys adapt.

It's been a blast. Had more fights and kills in the last 2 days then the previous two weeks. Thanks Nulli. No really it's been awesome. So some things I've been notcing.
In solo frigate fights some of the Nulli guys are really slow to lock and engage. I'm getting the tackle, activating modules, overheating and often I have them halfway down before they even aggress back. Is this a factor of being used to fighting in bubbles where you have plenty of time to get round to starting to engage or something?
Loving the learning curve that is working for me here. Had fun in a medium plex the other day where me and a friend were in a medium plex with a Cynabal and Incursus and a Nulli fleet rocked up to the complex. Harpy and a bunch of Drakes. Harpy lunges into plex and we kill it. I suspect Harpy was WTF guys where are you?! And the Drakes were all 'Hey we can't come in WTF?!' Similarly friends in a couple of thrashers in a minor ate a couple of firetails and a thrasher in similar circumstances (they Leroyed in one at a time over 10 second intervals) while their friends in Vagas and Drakes sat outside the complex. Cheap kills? Sure? Funny? Oh yeah. Likely to happen for much longer? Seems unlikely. But fun while it lasts.
Final observation. Seems like some of the people are not great at bailing out in their pods. Too much time spent in bubbles meaning that they're a bit slow to get out maybe? Anyways once again Nulli thanks for the GFs. I don't always get the chance to say that in local owing to all the podding.
It's been awesome. Loving that emergent game play thing that's happening here. |
