There's something fishy about it. Macro betting? Maybe a bunch of alts with unlimited "blinks" betting and taking winnings? I would put more limitations to it. Such as only 1 blink per lottery pot, and perhaps even limit blinks to every 5 mins. Sorry, but I've seen many of the same winning over and over, I wouldn't doubt there's some dishonesty here.

Oh, and Crows are like 10 mil in Jita, yet you are accepting 8 blinks at 3 mil a piece? Walking away with 14 mil, on a Crow win. The lemmings have followed here, congrats on such a great scam.

40%??? Try 140%
All I'm saying is this is Eve... and this is OUTSIDE of Eve. Chances are it's being manipulated in some way.

Somer, as far as i know has displayed great integrity on the forums, and slandering his name to make up your mistakes is poor sportsmanship, shame on you.
I'm not trying to slander anyone's name. I'm simply informing people that the lotteries profits are skewed from traditional lotteries. And again, in reference to the Crow... it is 140% profit. He snags 24mil from tickets, and if you chose the Crow in Jita, it cost him 10 mil... Thus, he pockets 14 mil. Now, if the winner won 2 crows, that would be somewhat acceptable. Don't you think?

Re: margins. Please read back in the thread-- margins on small stuff appear higher because there is a base cost + a margin %. To be honest, I'd just as soon not spend my days giving away 3000 Hawks and Enyos, so the price on these is monitored carefully. People want to try to win them, but at the same time if they cost 1M a ticket then all we do is play "enyo.blink" all day. This is not optimal for players or for myself.
Re: alts. I have no policy against people having more than one account, though I have talked to a few that had registered 6-10. This really only comes into play on the promo.blinks that cost 1 ISK. I will monitor the situation.
Re: the same people winning a lot. They also play a lot! Click on anyone's picture for some stats about how much they win. Feel free to pop into my channel and talk to people who are playing Blink.
1. Optimal for yourself? It is very optimal for your pocket. These are the most played pots. It won't change the amount you are giving away, but it would change the outrageous profit margins on them. As far as I can tell, those smaller ship tix sell very quick. How much quicker would those go if tix were 1.5 mil a piece? Probably the same rate. So, you wouldn't be delivering much more. Besides, how many are actually delivered, most are converted into more blinks.
2. Its a great site, I won't tell you how to run it... but can only suggest maybe a time frame between consecutive bets. This would stop those from betting 4 slots on one pot and give others a chance. At least a 30 sec cool down time after 1 bet.
3. I do love it... but it seems to me there are a few changes that could greatly help.

You are wrong, Somer is right, let it go.
Or, even better.....you don't like the margins on some ships, fine. Please start your own lottery site called "Frost Winks" maybe. that way you can set the margins on each and every ship to exactly where you think they should be. Whoever has the better site will then attract the most business, and be declared the winner in the "Fantasy money in a pretend spaceship game lottery site" category.
Go Frost !!!!1!

Somer said I can come here and make suggestions and comments. If you don't like it

What about a 30 sec timer between blinks? They can still hit up for 4 bets on a pot, but a timer gives others a chance to pipe in. Rather than one guy taking up 50% in a macro second.
Oh and I think the blinks are already clogged with these frigate hull pots. Which is why the cost is higher, because it's a better profit margin for you. You're only human... and even game isk has it's temptations.

Go buy half the tickets... but it's not a fair process. It's a simple drawing. Before anyone can bid, you already have a 50% chance. Having you wait between blinks on the same pot gives others time to enter. This also puts an end to the idea that there could be people out there with unlimited blinks bidding for Somer to gain 50% of the winnings. Can you prove to me this isn't happening? I can't prove it is, but I think it's a fair trade off for your Eve community to give them reassurance. You know I'm right.

You guys really don't understand what I'm saying. You must all come from the fast nano generation... lol, those that actually thought that was good for the game. I think if you were put in a position to have to wait 30 seconds between blinks on the same pot, then it makes the whole concept fair and justified for everyone. I would even make the wait time 1-2 mins. If time passes and youc an still grab 50% of the tickets, good for you. But it really puts a red flag up on all of this when Somer doesn't see the benefit in implementing such a change. If she's really out to provide a great lottery for Eve, then I would assume she would want the fairest and most logical approach? But letting players bid so many time and so quick, really make me wonder if they are working for the house, or for the rest of us. Think about it. There is no clean way of making this lottery 100% transparent and honest... but don't you think a cool down time between blinks would regulate a bit more of the marco bidders?
